标 题: 求助：英国300年前的数据怎么找？

愁死我了，老师让找英国银行(Bank of England,当时的central bank)1800年前后的
balance sheet数据，找不到啊...请大侠指点一二，这种历史数据该去哪里找？万分感

国内经济小本，申请08fall，差不多一个月以前拿到Duke MA in Econ的ad，完全自费
那种，但觉得挺满足了，毕竟Duke排名不错，家人在国内也好吹牛（大家表骂我），而
且也套了director，感觉很nice，人家已经把我推荐给系里一个牛x教授……可能是因
为都觉得已成定局，我神差鬼使地没着急接受ad拿I20，结果今天在邮箱里意外发现
Boston University的PhD in Econ的ad，现在完全没有钱，但第二年可能会有，于是郁
闷了，开始严重内心挣扎。说起来，论综合排名的话，Duke比BU高很多，但经济学的排
名二者中间只隔一个Brown（我之前已经被Brown拒了），而且MA和PhD毕竟差别还是很
大的，我从Duke毕业的话十有八九还是要申请PhD。所以恳请各位高人指点，这两个ad
应该选哪个呢？（主要就毕业之后的前途而言），谢谢大家，谢谢谢谢，小女子叩拜。

但是由于我们认知的局限、研究手段的局限，我们对于大脑功能的研究还处在初步
的阶段，很多未知的东西都在等待着我们去解答。这里主要综述一下神经科学发展
史以及科学理论变迁之后科学思想的变化。
在神经科学的发展史上，主要存在着以下3个大的争论：
1、 关于大脑和意识的争论：大脑和意识究竟是相互孤立的还是还是统一的，意
识究竟是大脑的一部分还是游离于之外？由此产生了很多观点。包括孤立论观点、
同一论观点、平行论观点、二元论观点等。
2、 局部定位论（localism）和整体论（holism）的争论：特定的脑部区域是否
仅仅和特定的功能相联系，还是大脑以一个整体参与所有的功能体现。
3、 是否有除了视觉、听觉、嗅觉、味觉、和触压觉之外第六感的存在，即所谓
的灵魂，这是一个我们尚未深入研究因而一切还处于未知的领域。

promotions. In January, they had a 50% off promotion for existing customers
for their DSL plans for 6 months so I signed up for the DSL Elite Pro at $40
/mon, with the discount it's $20/mon.

quickly make a list of everything in sears clearance section that is at
least 75%. It automatically takes out most the stuff that cant be ordered
but some stuff gets through like items that are available for store pick up
but are OOS everywhere. Most of it is clothes and shoes , which may not be
your sizes. Weed through it you might find a deal. I completely skip the

今年在奥运会期间，我们一直在经受着麦当劳广告的疲劳轰炸：吃着鸡肉三明治的运动员不停地在说着他们训练了一辈子就是为了奥运比赛这一刻。当然，这里有着非常明显的美国的象征符号：自由、机会以及鸡肉三明治。其实，这并不像看起来那么可笑。
在2008年的北京奥运会的开幕式上，Lopez Lomong很荣幸地担当了美国队的旗手。他并不是一个典型的美国运动员，而是一位出生于苏丹的难民移民。尽管对于Lomong来说，美国可能就和一个鸡肉三明治一样并没有什么特别大的意义。他曾经这样描述第一次去麦当劳的经历：
