今天天气真不错，牛肉在梦版跟俺推荐high line park，还说让俺带上俺猥琐的单反，
俺都一一听从了。废话不多说，出门就奔西南扎下去了。牛肉说要如何坐地铁什么的，
说走过去会走死。俺才不信呢。曼哈顿多大点儿地儿，至于吗？瞧瞧，这不是走着去，
走着回来了吗？
话说这high line park，真没啥意思。纽约人，说不好听点儿，有点儿离自然太远，所
以渴望自然渴望得不得了，好不容易有点儿什么绿色，可真当回事儿。Central Park如
此，这个high line park也是如此，高高架起的铁板，承载着花木，窄窄的木头走道，
和往来不绝的人群。俺从头走到尾，大概也就二十多分钟，没啥可看的，也没啥可拍的
，下来继续走回mid town的酒店。

咳咳，嘬口热茶我先说两句儿。。
话说N久以前，我是用Bryan Peterson那套书入门的，我大概看了他三本书，当时觉得
他的照片那个好啊。。。结果我的构图深受他的影响，也是喜欢用长焦，四平八稳的构
图，结果被亨瑞王子痛骂“悲剧”。现在在本版混了这几个月，也加上又看了点别的书
，细细琢磨下来，再回头看Bryan Peterson书里的照片，觉得真不怎么样啊，大部分构
图都平得象张纸，虽然有在细处取巧，可是普遍都太过于四平八稳，缺少透视感和立体
感，还有啥来着？恩对了，亨瑞王子说是“不够性感”（阿弥陀佛~~）。我记得第一次
拿到photographer's eye那本书的时候，觉得里边的片片远不如Bryan Peterson的漂亮
，现在再回头看看，觉得还是photographer's eye的片子耐看，michael freeman喜欢
用的焦段比Bryan Peterson都更靠近广角那端。
我自己拿出自己以前的片子（恩对的，比现在的还垃圾，原谅我竟然还都留着），我发

zipcode跟他填给你的ziopcode是不是一致 没准他填错了 但是邮局根据地址是正确投
递的

但是，Bryan Peterson的书适合（且仅适合）连光圈快门都不懂的初学者，稍微深一点
的东西他讲得很少或干脆不讲。比如zone system，exposure blending，HDR，GND滤镜
，怎样读histogram，等等等等。
另外，Bryan Peterson只是搞摄影教育的，他还算不上摄影大师。所以，他的照片作为
初学者的摄影教材虽然很好，但我觉得缺乏一定的艺术性和个人特色。所以，等你看过
了他的书以后，最好找一些你自己喜欢的风格的摄影家的图册来看，图书馆里有好多，
这样才能提高。 |

据星岛日报报道，自本年7月18日至11月4日期间，大多伦多包括密西沙加、宾顿市、万锦市、多市、旺市和皮克灵市，先后发生11宗店铺被劫案件，警方经翻看遇劫店铺保安闭路电视拍得的影像及分析贼人造案手法后，怀疑案件由同一名匪徒所为。

【侨报】南加大中国留学生吴颖和瞿铭的遇害案被警方破获后，两名犯罪嫌疑人现在已经被关押候审，洛杉矶县地区检察官办公室表示，此案凶嫌将于22日星期二在地方法院过堂，洛杉矶市警局将在此之后公布更多有关案件的细节。
洛杉矶地区检察官要求洛杉矶警方将两名中国留学生枪杀案细节的公布时间推迟到诉状被正式递交之后。地区检察官办公室表示，案件的诉状将于22日星期二递交到法院，而当天两名犯罪嫌疑人20岁的巴恩斯（Bryan Barnes）和19岁的鲍尔登（Javier Bolden）也将在地方法庭过堂。
洛杉矶警察局南部分局副局长甘农（Patrick M. Gannon）说，破案过程中压力不断增加，警方的调查并不容易。然而，尽管案发当晚下大雨，警方还是从现场找到了一些物理证据，这些信息和另外两起企图谋杀案件相关，一个发生在去年11月，另外一个发生在今年2月。甘农指出，这两宗案件也发生在夜晚，而且是在晚会结束后，氛围与南加大枪击案相似，于是警方回头开始在这两宗案件上下手，看是否能找到线索，最后终于有了第一个突破。

faculty来说可以算是很牛B了，但是对于老方这种senior的已经搞了一辈子的人来说，
就只能算so so。不要说是院士，离aps fellow的级别也还差了不少。引用率最高的一
篇文章还是95年到了arizona之后跟老外合作的，被引118次，这也是方唯一一篇被引用
上百次的文章。可见方励之89之前确实没有做出过什么重要的工作，他的名声和地位绝
对是靠政治得来的，当然其中部分的也是80年在中国搞科普所得，必须承认科普工作也是
有重要的社会意义的。
(BTW，有人说你这个搜索未必完整。不错，确实不能保证100％毫无遗漏。但是我

在不少人印象中，印尼是一个穆斯林人口占多数的世俗民主国家，社会对宗教信仰的态
度也相对开明。虽然穆斯林占总人口超过87％，但伊斯兰教却并非国教。在法律上，伊
斯兰教与其他受到官方承认的宗教享有同等的地位。
在苏哈托（Suharto）当权时期，印尼政府正式承认伊斯兰教、天主教、基督新教、佛
教和印度教。后苏哈托时期，以孔子学说为中心的孔教和源自波斯的巴哈伊教（Baha'i
