在修行歷程中，一个人可能选择出家，也可能维持在家形象。佛教是讚嘆出家修行的，
出家有它的优越性：
1.难捨能捨。捨的内容包括：家庭、妻子、财货及世间五欲之乐。捨了之后，牵绊减少
，生活朴素，易於修行止观。
2.「我為（解脱）法来」，专心与勇猛精进。
3.聚合有心人专业修行、弘法，以及有组织、有计划地传播解脱法。
一般说来，在家的牵绊较多，但一个有心修行的人还是能安排自己的时间修行止观，至
於有心弘法的人，亦可结合一群道友，经过一番修证成就，而组织修行弘法团体。

多很多。这个感恩节，除了父母和家人之外，我想特别感谢一位美国朋友。
三年前我在美国的第一个感恩节是在她家过得（当时我一个人在这里，LD孩子还没有过
来），传统的感恩节食物：烤火鸡、南瓜派、土豆泥、豆角。
两年前的感恩节我们全家团聚了，我按照这个朋友的火鸡办法也参考了中国烤鸭的办法
自己也烤了一只火鸡（见下面图1，家里人似乎都不太习惯火鸡肉）。结果在感恩节之
后，圣诞节之前，身体状况有点意外，情况还很严重。在进入手术室之前，LD和孩子还
没有赶到，她当时在医院陪我。在麻醉药发挥作用之前，迷糊之前清楚之时所记得最后
一句话就是她说的：“Buddha bless you”。我在医院的那两天，LD在医院陪我，她主
动住在我家照顾我孩子（之前一直以为老美朋友之间的距离比我们中国人朋友之间的距
离远很多）。之后在我恢复阶段她经常来陪陪我，做点辅助治疗。心里一直都觉得这段
友谊很温馨，对这个朋友一直心存感激。
去年的感恩节没有做什么特别的，好像是买了一个烤鸭，随便做了几个菜，也没有拍照。

from Nepal and China respectively. The Tang princess, Princess WenCheng,
alone brought 360 scrolls of Buddhism scriptures, a Buddha sculpture as well
