Buddy的４６防守，应该来说也算是当时很牛的了

the first time i went to play on course, my buddy rent a set from the
country club. i dont have driver, and never played driver before. then i
used his rented calaway Bigberth 460, i love it right away. and tee off with
it almost every hole. I even start with driver for a 186 par3. Now i look
back, i wouldnt use driver again to tee off a 186 par3.

you can always recover (or make up) the distance (say 10 yards difference)
with solid second shot.
once, i went out with my buddy at shoreline.
the 12th hole was acrossing a pond. i drove 220, land on the side of fairway
around the pond, my buddy drove 290 all the way to the greenside bunker.
skip the rest of the story, he end up bogey, and i finish with a birdie.
but it is very intimedating to play with a guy can drive 290.

next Saturday ( it might actually be designed by Pete Dye's son or cousin).
It will be the second time I play a Pete Dye designed course. The first time
was in Indiana 4 years ago, with bedscape . ( I still owe you a BIG one,
buddy !) At that time, I was too busy admiring bedscape's swing and
struggling finding my own to really enjoy the course. I did not remember my

you can split with me if we go togather. or if divot buy another, he can
split with you when you two go togather.
it is different when you play alone, mentally. and it is the main part of
game during course play. so the coupon is worth, since you would play alone
anyway, at least not at prime time.

you can call in pro shop, when you book tee time. or you can check the
course website for club rent. some pro shop carry few demo set (newer club)
for rental.
my very very first time that i played on real course was with a buddy who
visited from china. We have only one set, my club, without driver at that
time. Course marshall stopped us on third hole, and told us that each player

his friends can out-drive him. One thing I noticed is that his flexibility
and swing speed.
After first hole, he asked me if I want to play from black tee too. I was

since i intentionally de-loft my driver to gain control over distance, i
would not want to go with drivers design to add more loft. To me, distance
is not an issue.
And I consistently push my buddies to try my approach, since they can easily
crank 300 yards if needed. But for them, when playing from Blue tee, like
most amateur preferred, they could not use driver. So they have to tee off

struggling. I was somewhat in between.

第三次到芝加哥。
虽然每次都是因公，最多只有一天时间观光。但每次看些不同的地方，不同的特色，
积腋成裘，三次下来对芝加哥也有点感觉了。
这一次有整整二十四个小时，是三次里最长的。搭同事的车在周五下班高峰时进城，
二十四小时的计划，连同后备计划，都已经成竹在胸。
我去叨扰的朋友夫妇住在LOOP边上，离繁华的商业区只有一箭之隔。他们两个周末
都还有事情要忙，我也没找到别的朋友同行，於是把东西在他们那里放下，就出门
做我的独行侠了。

一直听说芝城以爵士乐和蓝调(BLUES/布鲁斯)出名。我对前者多少还有些体会，对

没有住够时间交流，buddy 无法确定 LZ 是不是有意要上浮，

但是入冬后就再也没有骑车, 跑步的训练也被打了折扣. 紧接着我家的小胖妞出生了, 于是跑步变成了很遥远的事情. 也就在她刚出生后不久我还跑过一次13公里, 过后就再也没跑了. 2011年的里程为0.
今天一大早就和Eileen carpool上了路, 9点的比赛我们不到8点就到了. 起点设在Grimsby高中, 赛前赛后的一切事宜都在室内, 外面零下两度, 所以组织还算不错.
知道自己没有训练, 所以对比赛没有任何期望, 只希望能跑完并且不受伤. 同去的还有Felix, 他的目标是PR 1:45, 我开始说要跟他一起跑, 可后来他说地面有雪 (昨晚刚下的), 所以PR无望, 叫我别管他, 自己跑去.
比赛9点准时开始, 我排在比较靠前一点的位置, 我前面有一百人左右. 枪响后出发, 第一公里pace 4:15/km, 觉得太快了, 心脏有些跟不上. 调整pace, 第二公里4:30/km, 但我一看心率, 已经到了188bpm了, 这时我就预料到今天会很惨.... 阅读全帖 |

首先感谢政府感谢党。然后感谢老婆孩子对跑步的长期支持。还有pager和他的家庭。
最后感谢跑版的忽悠们，没有你们挑战一个又一个更长距离的忽悠，我也不会去掺乎这
种ultra marathon的。
恭喜pager，跑的相当英勇，吐了无数次，居然神奇的在27迈后超过我，赢了我足足5分
钟。而且还是在我擅长的hilly course赢的。可喜可贺。Truly happy for him。觉得
他下次马拉松进3:35还是很有希望的。

大家都知道我是以打酱油出名的。所以，也是毫不犹豫的把pager拉我跑TNF 50K的忽悠
坚决的拒绝。没想到，pager曲线救国，把我LD先说服了，告诉她有个免费的杯子和一
件north face technical shirt，然后我LD就要我去跑了。正好有groupon,半价，想想
$37太便宜了，于是就上了。悲愤的是，pager没告诉我们，其实跑5K也有同样的杯子和
同样的technical shirt。。。唯一的区别是，印的字在5K之间悄悄的夹了个小小的圈。

My 3rd leg is my hardest leg. It starts with a continous 3.5 mile climb,
which gets gradually steeper. It then follows a 3 mile downhill almost as
steep. The course started out in the shade. "Nice", I said to myself. First
mile was pretty steep, I decided not to look at the GPS except at mile

夏天，除了版主兢兢业业，能常来ski版的寥寥无几，amplifier算是其中的铁杆之一，
他那独特的思维角度，诙谐的表达方式总是能带给我意想不到的乐趣，而且他喜欢写诗
，并能不断地推出各种类型的以滑雪为主题的诗词，有抒情的，有豪迈的，更有风趣和
幽默的，让咱这种缺乏想象力的人也能跨越时空，在炎炎的夏日，依然能延续着上个雪
季的欢乐，憧憬着下个雪季的到来。
此次Utah之行，自然而然地希望能会会咱这ski版的铁杆灌友。Utah之行的第三天，是
个星期六，终于在Snowbird见到了他还有他一直提到的师傅，接下来由他师傅领路，他
自个断后极有耐心地陪着blued和受了点伤的xiaoxiong，让每个人都在Snowbird留下了
一断美好的回忆。那天还有幸与当地的ski版元老xyzok一起滑了一会，可惜的是一行人
只和版主在停车场匆匆合影。

这次圣诞的科州滑雪之旅，虽然一起去的人少，但还是结识了些新雪友，除了上篇介绍
的两个locals: Tiger和阿疯，这里还想说说这次遇到的两对couple skiers.
*西雅图的秘甲夫妇*
印象当中，秘甲(SecretVest)是上个雪季才开始光顾雪板，上个雪季才是他第二年滑雪
，季末的时候，他贴了一个自己在蓝道上作连续小弯的视频，当时看了后的第一反应，
这家伙会不会成为第二个fly。当时他的小弯动作虽然有点夸张，但flow的很流畅，节
奏掌握得也很好，绝不像才有两年雪龄的skier. 这次圣诞节期间，他和ld正好也在科
州滑雪，就通过雪版约好有机会一起玩玩。
与这对朝气蓬勃的年轻夫妇见面是在Keystone雪场，一见面，给我印像最深的就是两人
头上各顶一个GoPro。当时我就想他们这样对拍，滑完后再看video, 分析动作，对提高
一定是很有帮助的。一上slope，秘甲的几个倒滑加地面360度转体就让我为之一震，这

租齐装备，直上黑道，乐不思蜀。
该闺蜜团素来不是死忠滑雪人士，平日又有小娃牵绊，一个今年未能共同上山，另一个
