Budget and Avis have the same owner - CAR.
I love Budget and Avis. Always got great cars from them and quick resolution
for any problem. DTG is not bad either. Jerks are everywhere, but they are

I hope it doesn't happen next year though, but I feel quite likely for the
year after next.
It's pretty clear by now US economy is not getting well any time soon. It's
going to be slow recovery. I suspect they have to balance the budget somehow
and military spending will still go up more and eat up more of the budget.
My feeling is that the stimulus package is just shifting money that would be spent in future years to cur |

the other bill passed Congress only cut around 250 billion without a single
cent from defense. The senate bill which already passed (yes passed by the

I'm totally speechless. Under tough economy, everyone will suffer. Why can't
NIH's budget be cut? If they do cut defense budget, what do you think DOD
will cut first? funding for drones or funding for basic biomedical research?

didn't see it mentioned anywhere. I needed a large car to move some
furniture this weekend and ran across Costco's discount program through the
major car rental companies (Avis, Enterprise, Budget, etc). I have
literally looked for hours (probably wasted too much time to save a few
bucks at this point) and Costco was the best deal by far.

果觉的ryan方案里面国防砍的少而medicare砍的多，民主党自己就提一个建设性的方案
，大家商量妥协，弄个折中方案，反正这么高的deficit别管花在哪里，没法sustain的
。可民主党自从前年O8为了回应ryan的计划提了个口号式的计划，再没有任何建设性的
方案，现在都是揪着ryan的方案打，挑动穷人富人对立，为自己拉票。
其实别管增税还是砍花费，把budget控制就好。 砍社会福利和其他开支，砍到一定程
度总有砍不下去的时候，增税也一样，如果不控制开销，任其指数型增长，迟早有一天
征100%的税也没法平衡财政，更何况大量工作机会是富人提供的，他们的钱越多交税，
private工作机会就越少，穷人也没好处。所以双方都要让步，本着负责任的态度商量
个方案。
解铃还须系铃人，美国财政赤字问题还是需要民主党来解决，需要民主党出一个真正为
国家利益考虑的领导人。共和党提出什么方案，都会被扣上有利富人不管穷人的帽子，
根本没法继续。O8最让我faint的是，从去年就开始为连任做准备，天天飞来飞去，搞
