Would anyone know the minimal size of the exterior door for a single house
in MA?
We are remodeling our house and trying to build a sliding door facing our
deck. Our house has a front door, a door for the basement. This sliding door
will be the 3rd exterior door locating at the rear.
The inspector from the town came and left a note that the sliding door is
too small. The door is measured as 5 feet in width and 8 feet in height. The

system especially in cold weather climates. Many local building codes
require Ice and Water shield and National Building CODE states Ice and water
shield must start at the roofs eave edge and extend 2 ft inside heated wall
space of a structure.
好多新房和新的roof不应该漏啊？就算有ICE Dam的话。最多沿着siding 从窗的Frame
里漏进来。

不是说Build 7100之后版本都不会有新增功能。不过微软内部并没有停止Windows 7新
版本的编译工作，修修补补还在进行，Windows 7 Build 7127完成于5月7日下午6：20
，即bug比7100少了些吧。 |

Pfizer opens new $200 million research building in St. Louis

Pfizer, the world's largest pharmaceutical company, opened a new 330,000-
square-foot research building in the St. Louis suburb of Chesterfield
Thursday. Construction on the $200 million facility began in 2005. Its
completion means the company's 1,200 St. Louis employees will be in one
location instead of on four campuses.
Don Frail is Pfizer's St. Louis site director. He says about 250 Pfizer

今天早晨正式拿到的permit，简直爽得不得了，可以正式开工了。忙活了几个月，终于
拿到了。自己设计的所有图纸，比请别人设计出图省了好几千块，这个房屋加建项目涉
及到新的两层的房屋结构以及对既有结构的改造，比盖一个新房子的设计还复杂一些。
自恃已经是民用房屋结构设计的专家了。说不定将来失业了，可以依次为生呢！
顺便贴几张图纸（不是全部），给大家一个大概的概念，申请building permit都需要
准备哪些图纸。 |

A man plummeted to his death in Sorrento Mesa, landing on the overhang of a
covered patio, according to police.
Keyur Anandkumar Malaviya, 28, jumped 10 floors from a Qualcomm building in
the 5700 block of Pacific Center Blvd. around 7 a.m. Witnesses heard the
impact as the victim landed on the overhang of the covered patio.

。原来好像是个会馆，平日有yoga class，印度人社区活动等。最近重新装修，堵塞道
路乱堆垃圾不说，竟然一夜间把整个building的外墙全都粉刷成了一种极为刺眼的黄色
（看装饰是个temple之类的），晃得人睁不开眼睛，孩子们在学校里活动原来都开着百
叶窗现在不得不把百叶窗全都关上。他们这种paint color是否违反什么city, county,
or state的construction code？不仅危害孩子们的视力，甚至危害公众的行车安全，
每次开车到那里，还没进去呢就被那颜色刺得睁不开眼睛。有没有什么办法告他们？ |

promotion，两者价钱差不多。但是朋友说听说north park 靠近果园的building每当施

two bedroom suite,包括一个full bath,一个kitchen,一个洗衣间,一个living room.
另外还把two car garage 改成了three car garage. 在充分利用空间上与房间分布合
理性上我用了不少心思.
想给你的设计提些建议:
1) in First Floor Plan, the door opening direction of the bath room is not
resonable. It is now open to the right which blocks the way into the room
until the door opens completely. It should open to the left and if the space
is too small, you may consider to use sliding door.

忙: 我中学老师的女儿学的是建筑环境与设备工程专业学习，打算来美国读研究生.她
不太想学习建筑设备（主要指空调系统）, 因为这个比较偏机械一些.她想更偏重建筑
环境（包括室内空气品质等）. 德州奥斯汀大学有一个叫做building energy and
environments。不知道这个专业好不好拿奖学金,以后好不好找工作,毕业后一般都干什
么,如果工作难找的话以后能否转到其它更好找工作的领域. 如果能有更好建议那就更

operable的窗口，可是builder装了不能开的，问之，答复说蓝图画错了，building
code不允许浴缸上方用operable的窗户。真的假的？有没有熟悉德州building code的
说一说。现在很不爽，因为当时选那个plan很大程度上是因为那两个可以开的窗户。好
像外墙盖好后就没得换窗户了。 |

tables in the facility). A guy easily won the first price. He just moved in
our building for one week. I got the second price( Actually there is another
guy better than me, but he is unlucky, he met the winner in first round.)
Yesterday I played with him again and he sent me a email with his full name.
I did a google and found out he is a BCA Certified instructor! |

. I suspect the frame is damaged.
Anyhow, I might need to build a new one, more for fun, less for riding. All
wheels I can find are either high end track wheels (narrow rims, not
suitable for urban commute, too expensive) or really cheap ones. I'm
considering building my own. How hard is it if I haven't done it before. I'm
quite handy. |
