大家都挤破头在palo alto, cuptertino，forster city买房。为什么不去Burlingame
买房甚至连提都没提过呢？
burlingame的location非常好。
大环境来说气候好，交通方便。去sf，东湾和南下到硅谷都不超过半小时。地基稳定，
传统住宅区。不用担心自然灾害。
小环境来说社区安全，城市绿化率估计是湾区第一，房子有特色，社区非常漂亮。
传统好学区，public中小学都900左右，其中亚裔学生都是950左右，nueva和crystal
spring都是全美排名非常靠前的私立中小学，
生活质量高，有两个downtown，特别是burlingame ave，个人比较下来是中半岛各城市
中最适合生活的小区。许多好餐馆，到晚上九十点钟都热闹。

发帖数: 129 | 2 Location：就在El Camino Real旁边，在millbrae和burlingame的downtown正中间，离
Millbrae station近，交通非常方便，平时买菜逛街去millbrae和burlingame都可以走
路到。townhouse后面都是2M的房子。
房子是两层楼，上层分开的两个房间，各自有独立卫生间加shower，high ceiling，感
觉非常舒服。下层是living room，kitchen和一个卫生间。是我见过的最好的结构。
如果您有孩子，这个学区超级好，小学上lincoln elementary school，10分。小小孩
可以去对面village park上burlingame community preschool，还有附近有好几个教会
学校，都是可以走路5分钟之类。这个小区非常小，只有6户人家，邻居都非常好，平时
可以来往，整个小区前面小院有铁门，地下停车场（两个免费车位）也有小铁门。而且
附近好几个公园都是走路5分钟的距离。

burlingame (连带一点millbrae），以及belmont - redwood shores school district
是好的。
当然Burlingame蛮贵的，因为靠近三番，有bart,学校好。看你的budget了。 |

认为， 2M-3M之间Burlingame
Easton addition应该是southSF到SJ之间，学区，neighborhood，交通，保值，房子
condition这几个要素balance最好的地方了。我们私心里喜欢Burlingame的还有一点是
我们喜欢散步，Belmont， San Carlos那些山路真是没法散步，而且很多地方都不会有
人行道，有娃啥的太危险了，而且偶尔父母来了出去走动也不安全。对我们而言，买房
子一般住的时间比较长，但是换工作可能会更频繁一些，所以还是选择多一些commute
也要neighborhood好。 |

叫knob and tube。网上说这种电路已经被淘汰了，安全性也有问题，很多保险公司都
不一定会保这种电路的房子。楼主于是跟contractor讨论了一下，contractor说如果楼
主要upgrade电路，与其一个洞一个洞的开墙，还不如把墙打开，顺便加个insulation
之类的，就一起把房子的安全性和performance都upgrade了。楼主表示sounds like a
plan，于是准备开始做。但是昨天突然听说动到墙的work，burlingame city竟然要
energy calculation，泪奔。。现在真心请问大家，有人做过这方面的活儿吗？有没有
推荐做energy calculation的engineer呢？跪谢大家！ |

当时觉得还行， 回来一上网， 发现review胡差。一下子就蒙了。
想问一下有住在那儿的中国人或住过那儿的中国人的意见， 谢谢。
