海干散货指数出现单边快速杀跌,暗示全球经济活动有放缓趋势,贸易环境持续恶化。
世界贸易组织(WTO)去年10月便下调了对全球贸易增长的预期,预计2019年全球商品
贸易量增速将放缓至3.7%(前值4%)。WTO首席经济学家库普曼(Robert Koopman)表
示,目前真正的风险在于,贸易摩擦带来的政策不确定性,是否会蔓延到投资和消费者
行为上。
海运指数跌幅近六成
干散货商品往往被视作领先经济指标,因为它们往往在炼钢、发电等核心工业领域中发
挥重要作用。一般像粮食、铁矿石、煤炭等以散装的形式处理和运输的货物,作为初级
原材料,它们往往通过船只漂洋过海完成交接工作。
波罗的海干散货指数反映着世界几条主要航线的即期运费变化,Capesize(海岬型、好
望角型)、Panamax(巴拿马型)、Supramax(灵活型)三种船型权重各占比40%、30%
、30%。海岬型船只载重量超过10万吨,主要用于铁矿石和煤炭等工业物资的长途运输

quarter profit as revenue grew on higher charter rates and fleet utilization.
The bottom line greatly benefited from a $21.6 million settlement gain

如何看BDI,这个BDI指数也不难,稍微花点时间就行了

这个干船最粗略的分法是,好望角/海峡/Capesize;巴拿马/Panamax;Supramax/
Handymax/Handysize,大家都学过世界地理,大概意思就明白了。其实还有更复杂的
Region分类,像Kamarmax, 是运铝土的
从这个图就能看出来,Capsize is most volatile,去年这个时候,17万吨级的
Capsize租金比7万吨级的Pananmax还要便宜,而最高点的时候,Capsize is about 4
times of Panamax.
你们如果看了DSX的report,他有条capsize船大概是09年卖了个长期4/5yr contract,
一天是50K/day,而其他的1yr contract,都是15K/day
有了这个数据,就要结合各个公司Fleet information,看他们都是什么类型的船,还
有是什么样的Contract,才能大概知道一些这个公司Earning potential
