The material costs around $2000-$3000 with pre-milled tread returns (if you
buy oak treads, railings and newels but everything else pine. I don't think
you can use the existing treads under the carpet, they are probably just
pine...
It takes two people at least 5 days to finish the carpentry and painting job
. The labor cost really depends on where you live. If you want to do the

carpentry，这种东西技术难度不大，而且材料如果找对货源的话是真正很便宜。
厨房装得豪华，其实一万也有可能。。。从sears outlet买appliance，什么便宜买什
么，然后买中国橱柜公司的橱柜，地面的瓷砖从builddirect.com进，橱柜的moulding
当然用自己的mdf做的。。。 |

我会在builder structural+insulation inspections过后就take over过来。
Finishing carpentry总归想找自己熟悉的木匠来做比较合适，但是前面的事情，自己
实在搞不定 |

你问问bmx，他的房子造价是多少。
再问问Gearbox01，他的房子造价是多少。
瓷砖有$1/sqft的，也有$10/sqft的，都是shower door，标准的builder可以拿到$200
一个，custom的，要$2000。简单的bath drain，这种plumber那里的成本是$10。如果
你让plumber upgrade，他自己没有要专门去买，轻轻松松就是$150以上。
大面积的地毯很便宜，但是用高级的实木地板就很贵。finishing carpentry，弄起来
没边没沿。。。
所以刚才和尚说25w-125w。
一般来说，比较便宜的地区，大批量造的，builder会怎么便宜怎么来。稍微好一点的
区，builder会适当的提高用材标准。 |

有变大。不然就是不放心，啄木鸟虽然到处试，但也不会随便就开个洞啊，总是有点不
对劲的地方啊。
Window sill一般就是直接换，补的工作量小不了多少。这个位置容易见水，木头糟得
快，新式都金属壳子或者复合材料的。 |

deposit, such as low voltage。当然你可以根据自己的喜好来制定付账的程序，但是
contractor是不是接受则是另外一回事，要看你谈判的技巧，或者你有什么bargain的
chip可以让contractor接受你的条件。都说了，自己监督盖房子是个受累不讨好的活。
另外不要小看预算外的花费，我老板的房子，已经和图纸上的设计大不一样了，很多
change的。
