他好像不是想扔给catcher，你注意他扔球的力道很小，是想传给2垒，匆忙稍微高了
一点。2垒也迷糊了一下，不知道pagan接球前有没有球落地。如果是base hit，1垒的
跑垒手已经上了2垒，他接了球也杀不掉。所以干脆把球让给catcher。pagan心里明白
那球没落地，所以赶紧嚷嚷着让catcher把球传回2垒。

1. pitcher与一垒baseman联合封杀偷垒行为。一垒baseman采用一脚接触垒用手准备抓
pitcher直接投来的球，一旦抓到球就tag往回跑的跑垒员。不tag不行吗，比如直接接
到球跑垒员就是out？其他垒也是类似情况吗？
如果三垒有跑垒员，好像没有像一垒那样的情形，这是怎么回事？
2. pitcher、catcher与一垒baseman联合封杀偷垒行为。baseman和跑垒员往往站位都
离开垒，只是他们距离垒的远近不同而已。当pitcher投球给catcher，catcher立即投
球给一垒baseman时，一垒baseman需要用脚接触垒同时tag返回的一垒跑垒员吗？其他
垒也是如此方式将进攻队员putout吗？
3. pitcher有没有对偷垒行为的封杀次数的限制？是无限制的吗？
4. 假定三个垒可能有或没有跑垒员，pitcher封杀哪一个垒从策略上有什么讲究？比如

二○○○年盛夏的一天，纽约的广场大酒店住进一位女宾。有人认出此人乃是美国作家
J. D. 塞林格的女公子玛格丽特·A. 塞林格，但在住店登记簿上来客留的却是假名。
后来，女客向媒体解释道，社会上仍有许多为塞林格“癫狂”的人，有的还不断写去骚
扰信，所以她宁可隐于闹市；另一方面，她来纽约是为了发布自己的新书，一本题为《
梦之捕手》（Dream Catcher）的回忆录，如让父亲事先得知，可能会设法阻挠。
女儿笔下的书名显然是父亲当年成名作 The Catcher in the Rye的衍生。女儿很有商
业头脑，用上dream一词既表示了往事如梦的回忆录主题，又附会“最佳”一义——如
dream team（梦之队），仿佛作者是捕捉隐私的能手。Catcher这个词，已故施咸荣兄
译作“守望者”（书题遂作《麦田里的守望者》），是可以商榷的。上一世纪八十年代
中期施兄和我同在加州伯克莱大学当富布赖特学者时，两人也确曾商榷过。但是约定俗
成，“守望者”叫出了名，所以本文文题姑且沿用“守望”二字，只不过加上了引号。

后来有人重新翻译过？这本书和slyvia plath的bell jar当时给我印象都差不多，都讲
大学生的迷惑叛逆混乱，catcher in the rye好像更感伤。你说的“只有他自己，才是
整块麦田中唯一的清醒者，守卫者，阻止小孩子滑坠的唯一大人”，挺有同感，想起鲁
迅说的肩起铁闸的巨人，让孩子和年轻人逃生，也是同样的众人皆醉我独醒、孤守理想
、自我牺牲的心态。孤独心态适合艺术创作吧。
版本才算读完。从这个角度上讲，这本书应该说很不合我的口味，当然，除了塞林格模
拟的叛逆小青年儿那种故作成熟做作的痞子腔调让我不大耐受之外（其实从这个角度讲
他倒是很成功，因为他模拟得实在逼真），导致我难以卒读的因素主要还来自糟糕透顶
的翻译。但是，这仍然不妨碍我认定，根据豆瓣书评来看，这是一本被极大误读了的小
说。。。。。。假如塞林格写这本书只是一时兴起也就罢了；假如这本书里真有百分之

required for catcher is quite different from that for 1b, isnt it?
You need to pray Castilla's defense is as good as last year's. Chipper is
one year older so more likely power decreases. He is no barry bonds anyway.

理由如下：
catcher不用提 了 ，很大程度上catcher和其他fielder位置可以分开，因为
防守压力太重。
shortstop& 2nd baseman作为middle infielder，接触球的机会非常多，ss
更重要一些，因为1。接球机会相对更多（右打拉打），2。margin for error
比2b小很多（u bobble it, u can't make it）
centerfielder要负责外场接近一半区域的防守，责任重大。没有一个好的
cf，许多single都要变double
3b 需要快速的反应和强壮的胳膊。不过接球机会有限，所以不如上述位置重要。
rf比lf重要是 因为rf需要往3b传球，需要比较强的手臂力量。lf相对而言不那么
需要。

our outfielder already threw ball back to home plate. The runner had no idea
where the ball would be so the agressive approach would be hitting the
catcher. A less aggressive attitude is Tori Hunter's last night out-at-home-
plate play when playing Rays. He should hit the catcher instead of sliding
to home plate.
