那倒不是...但它算在teaching performance里，如果teaching
很好，没有educational fund并不是大事。它不能取代research
fund证明research performance，我个人认为。
你应该去问一下PM。我以前拿过一次CCLI，也是很慢，我记得过了
一月份才通知，四月份才正式下来。CCLI明年要改名成另一个program,
不知是不是和这个有关系。 |

Based on my interaction with other PIs from R1 schools, they are also paying
more attention to education/outreach grant which are usually multi-million
$$. Many of these grant also has research components, e.g. do research and
bring the research to community. |

grants from NSF, NASA, DOE, and DOD belong to that category. If so, it
seems not very useful to put efforts to apply for. I'm planning on one of
these. Maybe I should consider to give up. Or maybe I should mainly focus on
research grants, then try 1 or 2 educational grants in order to strengthen
my teaching performance. |
