下载USB DRIVE工具检查，没发现硬件硬盘问题。
可惜我没有做recovery盘。X200没有CDROM.哪位好心人可以告诉哪里可以下载OEM
windows .iso? 怎样才能做USB启动盘？或者有其他修复工具？

这个 4 core CPU 居然有 EPT，可以跑虚拟机比较爽。
idle 的时候才 17w， 然后测试一下风行电影超清电影
下载同时播放也才 17w（20% CPU).这个功耗太牛了。
做 NAS 或者 P2P 下载这类不关的服务器非常合适。
跑了下 Fedora 20， 完全没有问题，没有出现不稳定
的情况，至少跑了一晚上还没有。
带一个 USB 3 和若干 USB 2 口。
主板是 Acer 自己的，有个扩展槽。但是没有 PCI-E。
版上有PCI-E 的空焊盘，没有焊接东西上去。
总体还比较满意。
那个 CDROM 和硬盘还比较容易拆下来，换硬盘还好。
这个机器应该是目前跑双硬盘 NAS 最好的平台了。
价钱便宜功耗低，性能也够用。 |

东西，至于这么耿耿于怀吗？
你都没有明白 LZ 的难处在哪里就乱喷。 我的理解是（LZ 可以指正
我说的对不对），LZ 只有一个电脑（x1）有那个 AFF 接口，所以新的
硬盘如果直接插到x1 就没法从 AFF 硬盘启动，因为必须通过X1的 AFF
往硬盘里面写东西。所以难处不是你的 DOS 做的创建 GPT partition，
是没有 USB 启动的 OS 的话没法往 AFF 硬盘写东西的问题。
所以如果 Windows 在 USB 上面启动有困难，那么用 USB LiveCD
是很合理而且可以走下来的一个选择。当然不会是唯一的选择。
至于你的 DOS 做 GPT，根本不解决 LZ 的问题。
你看我已经尽量忍住不喷你的不精确的地方了，既然你点名了我
就再顺带说一下把。
：啥时候USB能boot了？就是USB live CD也是先写到RAM的
USB 一直都是可以 boot 的。USB Live CD 不需要写到 RAM 再
boot。 写到 RAM 的是启动以后在 readonly filesystem上面

你的建议很好，只是1060已经下单了。只好那拿现状将就了。
1060显卡是准备跑GPU程序的，模拟个神经网络。CPU用板上的GPU模拟简单场景，截屏
后送到1060里面处理。现在的问题是程序还8字没有一撇，得从头学习CUDA和COCOS2dx
。是个不限时的业余爱好项目，花个几年时间不稀奇。几年后硬件如何，肯定和现在不
一样，到时候再升级。

不了。只好在bios里设成legacy, ssd分区表弄成mbr 才行。但是现在每次自动重启还
是显示no boot device, 必须手动ctrl-alt-del，再f12进启动菜单选中硬盘才能启动
。这是为什么？ bios里已经设成hdd是第一个。另外我如果把其他选项disable了就连
这样也启动不了了，必须把那些usb/cdrom/network都填在hdd后面才行。 |

发帖数: 37 | 11 准备把干活用的机器由suse 10.1 更新到11.0,结果用suse 11.0 DVD 光盘启动系统
后，可以看到suse 11.0的logo,加载启动kernal后系统提示"Make sure that CD
number 1 is in your drive"，然后就不能继续了。
可以肯定的是开始系统可以从光盘启动，但在安装程序加载了启动kernal （kernel
2.6.22.5-31-default）后，这个kernal没有正确的驱动光驱，所以无法读取DVD。
试了一下，可以用suse 10.1,suse 10.2 DVD 正常启动、安装，但suse 10.3和11.
0就会碰到类似的找不到CD的问题。 看样子比较新的kernal反而无法正常驱动CDROM,真
是比较奇怪。
不知道除了网络安装之外，还有没有别的办法安装suse 10.3或者11.0? 多谢指教。 |

实际上就是基于这些shell下的命令行的，这一点是 windows没法比的。说到小缺陷的
累记，也仅仅是锦上添花而已，应该可以在未来的发行中稍微弄一下就能实现吧，而不
是要像微软那样专门去开发工具。下面就开始：
1、微软系统下有daemon这类的iso虚拟光驱的工具，Linux下不需要这样专门的工具，
在命令行下就可以一个命令解决，但是这类的常用的功能如果右键点击iso文件，下拉
菜单多一个映射到/mnt/cdrom的选项之类的就更好了；
2、图形界面下的可执行的shell脚本如果也可以这样的右键选择shell下执行，之后自
动开个当前目录在该文件的shell窗口，并且执行就好了，就省掉了手动开shell的窗口
并且去敲命令行的重复；
暂注意到这些，其他的以后再说，这些windows都没有，并没法比，但是这类的操作在
Linux下很常用，如果进一步添点花，用起来就更爽了。 |

You may be able to do it again. This time choose to install to C, or just
delete C and repartition. But be careful your machine might not boot since
your virtual CDROM is from vista. Do it if you have a backup plan. |

Now she can boot up using network (PXE) and she can see all the install
files for ubuntu, but not sure which file to run to kick off the install (
kind of like winnt is used to install windows)

there is no CDROM. Wired and wireless network are both working.
I have used pxe boot to install windows many times, just not sure which
executable to run first to kick of the linux install.

thinkpad T500: preupgrade from Fedora 16 64bit, very smooth.
thinkpad T41: preupgrade from Fedroa 15 32bit, smooth.
Mac Mini: preupgrade from Fedora 15 32bit. Smooth.
这个我比较惊奇，因为新的那个 Grub2 很可能和 EFI boot 不兼容。
本来想折腾下不行就算了，结果什么都不用改。
Intel evaluation MB & CPU: preupgrade from Fedora 16 64. No problem.
Dell Slim tower: preupgrade from Fedora 15 64. Smooth.
Macbook 4.1 这个是比较难的，反复装了好多遍还是不行。
我的 Macbook 有个特殊情况， CPU 是 64 bits, 但是
EFI boot 是 32 bits. 现在新的 Mac EFI 都是 64 bits.

With Debian 6 X86_64, kernel 2.6.32-5-amd64, I can not burn or read DVD.
when try to mount a dvd as 'mount /dev/dvd /mnt/cdrom', I got error message
mount: you must specify the filesystem type
and using growisofs to burn DVD-R, also failed. (it can not identify the
media disk)
this burner is detected as /dev/sr0

the defaut is slocate will build up your sys database every day around 4:02am
in this case, it is normal and a good thing.
when you use linux, why do you mount your CDROM all the time? that is
a very bad habbit. |
