英国队今打头阵 警海陆空巡逻保治安
温哥华烟花匯演Celebration of Light的首场表演将于今晚举行，由英国队率先登场，
温哥华警方声言严厉对付公眾场合喝酒，不会手软。
温哥华警察局长朱小蓀昨日联同其他执法救援部门召开记者会，介绍烟花表演相关的执
法情况。朱小蓀表示，这次匯演没有象显示会发生重大事故，但每晚匯演在英吉利湾
(English Bay)周围沙滩海岸可能引来数十万人聚集，而且不仅来自低陆平原，而是来
自全省、全国、以至国外。
今晚将有数以百计警员在现场以步行、骑单车，或是骑马等形式巡逻。假若有任何事故
发生，警方将从速处理。
朱小蓀又要求公眾不论是出席烟花匯演，还是何种公开聚会，均将提高警觉，假若看见
有人弃置可疑物件，或是有人形可疑，表现紧张，似乎不应该在这个场合出现，便应
该报警交由警察检查。
除了呼吁市民充当警方「耳目」之外，朱小蓀表示，各社区警讯中心以及市民罪案巡视
计划将会派出一批义工在场协助监察罪案情况。
此外，空中一号(Air-One)警务直升飞机也会在现场监视情况。水上将有巡逻艇穿梭，
确保在水上观赏烟花的民眾安全。
