of the tire.
Patch method require the tire to be removed from the wheel and rebalanced
after the leak is fixed, so more costly. Plus sometimes people use fix-a-flat, that
needs to be cleaned out first if using patch method, so most shop now just use
plug method.
What you describe is 100% 靠谱, what you forgot to mention is "the plug is
coated in rubber cement before it is inserted with a handle".

中国绝大多数机关工作人员能在退休之前混成处长就不错了。在大学有多少
成了副校长校长（假定愿意走仕途）？有多少副县长最后成了国家总书记？
在美国也是如此，你是参议院的儿子吗？你的社会背景是什么？ 凭什么你一个
外国人，对美国社会，历史，语言缺乏必要的理解，人家就必须对你委以重任。
很多行政工作除了自己的眼界和能力主要靠社会影响和社会关系。
华人当校长已经不少了，田长霖早就是名校校长，二代华人早当上了部长。
我们可以欣慰的是，至少奥巴马还不是官二代。

就从我的referees那里得知公司要推荐信，其中一位老院士还非常遗憾地跟我说，xx公
司似乎很喜欢你，这是否意味你要离开学术界，进入工业界，希望你不要放弃你的研究。
然而，接下来的一切就太出乎意料了。Onsite 二个星期后，没任何消息，我忍耐不住
，给director of Human resources和Recruiter发信问，得到的答复是要到12月初公司
才可能作决定。于是只好 等，可是到12月中旬还没消息，心想没戏了，move on 吧。
碰巧的是我的最要好朋友也申请了该职位，他在12月20得到该公司的rejection letter

式的房子一般房屋内外墙都是用木构架，在那些木构架之间用砖或者灰泥填
起来。墙面一般漆成淡色的，外面很多装饰性的木材木条漆成深色的，这样
就形成很强烈的对比。屋顶比其他风格的房子比要陡峭些，双面陡坡的屋顶。
外观看起来很有民族特色的，给人以中世纪的感觉。
在我们小区里有好几栋仿都铎式的房子，一进小区口第一个房子就是仿都铎
式的contemporary，虽然不是太大，可能没有3000sqft，但是外面看起来很
unique，一半砖头一半别的材料的外表，砖头和木头架漆成深色，一部分墙
面漆成淡色。视觉上很impressive。
都铎式风格的房子大概在1890年到1940年最为流行，后面新建的房子有些也
采用仿都铎式的风格，加以其他新的元素，不知道你看上的房子是哪一年建
的？
不过如果你买下来，以后要expand房子的话，town里会重新assess你房子的
tax value，你的property tax和school tax都会增加。至于建在cement slab

most likely what you see the brick is just a layer of brick siding over
stucco.
First see if they are synthetic stucco or traditional stucco. The former
sound hollow when you tap on it. Traditional stucco is pretty much like
cement you see on the road.
the controversy regarding stucco comes from several law suits against
synthetic stucco manufacture in the 90's for leaking and retain moisture.

卖房子给我的韩国人太恶心. 主泵早就坏了一直没修. 完全是依靠备用泵.
而且搬走之前还把备用泵的新电池给换成旧的. 而且他还着重的说备用泵的电池是新的
.
结果我把电池拿到厂家那里一问. 果然是7年的电池. 当初买房子搬进来之后我就注意
到电池不对了. 当时还问了agent结果他们一口咬定没有换. 韩国老太恶心.
我知道备用泵是坏的是因为主泵不工作, 结果一下雨就让备用泵的警报响个不停. 备用
泵的电池最后也完蛋.
后来花了160大洋去买了新电池和充电器. 电池的硫酸还是分开买. 还需要一个个电池
的孔(6个)灌进去. 累得要死. 现在剩了一点硫酸还不知道怎么处理.
今天终于换了主泵. 主泵便宜. 才95块. 虽然店里面165. 厂家的便宜. 主泵太麻烦.
先是把sump pit的盖子弄开. 然后费好大力把盖子从主泵, 副泵的管子上面抽出来.
旧主泵烂成一堆废铁. 沉的要死. pvc管子还卸不下来. 只好锯断.
去homedepot买了两根pvc管子. 接口, 粘管子的primer, cement.
回来粘管子. |

材料：我买的tile是大约1.5-1.7/sqft的价位，我的材料比较贵，因为墙边的踢脚线（
base moulding)也换了，还有什么马桶下的垫圈，tile下面的水泥板什么的。
人工：HD和Lowes标出来的什么4刀/sqft都是带脚标，你仔细读读就发现这个价钱不含
lay cement board,还有就是房间面积一样，但是layout不一样的话价钱也有差别。什
么拐角，angled edge都要多花钱的，因为tile要切割，很麻烦。 |

sealer的主要问题是不够硬,而且不完全防水和其他液体.所以用久了还是会磨损会脏.
epoxy如果能做好的话肯定是最好的材料,这个没什么可说的.就是比较贵,做起来也困难. |

My inspector told me
"This is a typical crack in the concrete. Concrete has water ,sand, Portland
cement and stone. When the water evaporates during the curing process the
concrete shrinks and cracks. All foundations crack. It may be a problem when
wall cracks are greater then a ¼ inch, have deflection, travel
horizontal, are in a v pattern on an outside corner or water is leaking

先来个问题：
今天坏小子将车里挡阳光的板子掰断了，断的部分是塑料的，估计是ABS, 或者PC/ABS,
断面大概9毫米直径，准备接上。
方案一： 两断面分别在正中钻孔，用dowel+glue, 或者用screw dowel连上。因为手边
没有销钉，最后是从一头钻透到另一头进入断面另外一边，同时用了一些胶水，明天看
看，不知道能咋样。如果用销钉，如何保证两边的钻孔对上？
方案二：用火烫化了接上，试了，来不及同时加热两边，要补的东西也易燃，放弃。估
计固定后用烙铁烫比较合适。
方案三：ABS cement接上，端头对端头的粘接，怕受力不行，没试。
方案四：搞一个套管，分别用胶水粘上，结构上可能比较有利，可是一头尺寸受限制，
没法采用。

你要做basement就知道,所有和cement接触的东西必须用PT wood.都是在室内.不用PT木
,inspection都过不了.
另外做deck的Mahogany一般就是便宜的African/Asian Mahogany + dark stain(防日嗮
)而已. 跟木地板一样,有毒的话也不会比地板更毒. |
