时我们就是去了个city hall之类的地方,有个办理结婚的官员念了那堆誓词,然后签个
字就OK了.之后会先给个类似ceritificate的证件,不过这个只能算souvenir.要拿到正
式的要等几天,他们会update到网上,到时候去网上order(去领liscence的时候他们会告
诉你网址,你也可以搜到),直接寄到家里就可以了. |

是不是领了marriage license还不算，一定要找个牧师举行一下ceremony，念一下誓词
，婚姻才
算真正有了法律效力？在哪儿能找到收费低一些的officiant呢？
网上简单搜了下，发现那些基本都是要大操大办的，很多好像还是兼wedding planner
的。我们就想领个证，让婚姻有法律效力，具体婚礼喜酒回国会补办。所以在美国的
ceremony就想越简单越好。一般在哪儿能找这样的牧师呢？

给4个女孩子每人做一条ceremony dress！！！！！！我被她这个“宏伟”的
计划震惊了！我问：你要做一件真的fabric的dress？？？？JJ很肯定的回答：
yes！我说：你知道怎么做衣服嘛？ JJ越发肯定的回答：知道，我已经在youtube
上查了好几天了，都看好了，我用缝纫机做，你可以带我去买布嘛？我用我自己
的钱。我被美国小朋友这种爆棚的自信心再次震惊，老心颤悠悠得说：好吧，
这样吧，我们先做一件，看行不行，如果好，再做其他3件，好吗？ JJ欣然同意。
带JJ去Joann的路上，就算白扔些银子让这个不知道天高地厚的丫头吸取点教训
吧！为娘我这一辈子都没有做过一件衣服，尝试都没有！
Joann的布倒是很便宜，我也不知道一件dress需要多少yard，JJ也不知道，问了
店员，买了1个yard。 回家JJ，一手电脑，一手在布上画啊，剪啊，多次
拒绝外婆帮助，在缝纫机上又折腾了很久，晚上，终于作出了她人生第一件真正

要是看I-20什么的，然后就说通过了。看来广州的确比较松。
个人背景：F1学生，独生子女，10月初在东部一所学校完成答辩后，到西部一所学校OP
T做博后。邀请父母过来呆一个月，旅游 + 参加毕业典礼 （给签证官的信上是这么说的
），签证前机票已订。
父母背景：家在湖北小城市，这次跨区到广州签因为广州有亲戚，加上广州预约排队时
间短。父母都已退休，以前从来没来过美国。

H1呢？
我觉得你这个是完全可以申诉的，满足了获得degree要求，就应该算是完成了degree，
我觉得可以找dean写封信证明一下。 至于degree awarded date那个只是一个ceremony
,因为学校都是固定日期的ceremony（一般1年2次）。 所以那个不能完全算作你毕业的
日期，我的理解是你满足degree要求，答辩最后通过的日期就可以算是毕业的日期了。
我以前申请EB2时，也是有类似的事情。 我是论文答辩完了之后，但在degree awarded
date之前开始工作的，但是申的就是EB2，也没有任何问题。
我觉得律师能够提供更详细的建议，而且申诉后成功的希望会很大。 |

1.G-325A里面的 Date of Marriage 是领license的日子，还是举行wedding ceremony
的日子呢？
2.I-765里面， Item 11,"Have you ever before applied for employment
authorization from USCIS?"我填的是“NO”，因为我还没毕业，还没申请过OPT，只
是用过在校做intern 的CPT.那我后面从Item 12到17还用填么？？ 如果要填的话,
Item16 在instruction里面找不到合适的code~~非常郁闷。。。

吃早饭前，孩子们约好了一齐说：Happy Mother's Day. 然后女儿说，要穿新裙子，因
为是节日。真是的，我还没新裙子呢……
前两天孩子从学校带回母亲节礼物，说今天才能打开。来不及看，先给女儿复习中文。
再送去中文学校，参加最后一堂课的考试。考了满分，欣慰而惶惑——考题和老师发的
复习题一样……接着去Costco买菜。再接着去附近的Walmart，给下周开生日party的女
儿同学买礼物，顺带给孩子们买衣买鞋买棒球拍。孩子的吊带裙才五元，外搭开衫才三
元。她一回家立马换上新衣服，笑开了花。
我也买了双皮鞋——脚上的鞋穿了几年磨了头，又常被小孩踩；平时没空去鞋店，今天
试到合脚的就买。
所有十几样东西一共花了一百来块钱，及不上回国买的一条衣服。领导说这么便宜还挑

最后一场婚礼，这场婚礼是有史以来最惊险的一场，也是最有意思的一场。
话说这对新人是我遇到最好说话的新人。新娘从问价到签约，都是网上进行的。签约前
我还反复问她要不要见一次，她说她和新郎在两地，见面也只能见她自己，但是相信我
的portfolio,于是就签了。婚礼前两周，我也只是和他们视频了一次。一直到
rehearsal那天晚上才真正见到本人。新郎是犹太人，在哈佛读博后，新娘是印度人，
在UCLA认识的。一个犹太教，一个是基督徒，一个180以上吧，一个150左右，无论肤色
身高家庭背景都相差很大。
他们的婚礼地点在Natural History Museum of LA County, 以恐龙化石著名，还有各
种动物标本什么的。Ceremony订在museum的rotunda，reception在mammal hall.
Rehearsal那天晚上我带着5D2去测光，发现环境光非常暗，尤其是mammal hall, 没有
射灯的地方甚至有可能对不上焦 。和博物馆的管理员沟通之后发现，他们的供电和供

1）如果你是在所居住的town申请，你们的license可以用在州里其他任何town去办
ceremony。我们就是这样做的。但是你们town不是要bc么？那就不去你们town.见下一条
2)如果你们去非居住地的town申请，那就要选你们要举行ceremony的那个town，申请到
了license也只有那个town有效。你不是说你们举行婚礼的town不需要bc么？那不就是
符合这一条么？ |

ceremony, 还帮忙办marriage license, 一部到位， 觉得比较方便。 又或者非chapel
, 任何何以办civil wedding ceremony 的地方， 都可以， 但是没有注意哪的比较
popular 或者比较合适小型的。 |

你们这个时间太紧了，好的地方可能都被预订光了。
可以看看那种小一点的restaurant 或者 lounge 俄什么的可不可以租场地给你们，20
个人不多，应该不难找到地方。然后自己联系一些free lance event planner, 可以帮
你organize a decent ceremony.
我认识一个event planner, my friend actually, let me know if you need help.
