欢装在主机上。我有个server,用了virtual machine,一边用作文件服务器，同时也装
了几个window 系统。服务器的功耗低，我是24小时不关机的。我干活的机器功耗很大
，全开功耗有接近500瓦（主机耗电大概有300瓦）。所以 我一直想把tuner装在服务器
上。但因为用了虚拟机，卡装在服务器上的有问题。如果是通过network,我平时录节目
就不需要开主机了。
还有一个原因是我想把tuner接到另一个cable上。我家里办公室的电视信号不是太好，
因为进来的信号被分裂了好几次，cable modem,还有moca都减弱了信号，所以如果能把
tuner接到另一个cable上会好一点。但是ceton 6 Eth 太贵了。
我是第一次看到你的HDHomerunner.对我来说3个tuner可能也够了。价钱比Ceton便宜很
多。打算就买它了。 |

一个Tuner，少$50钱。安装起来应该稍微容易一点点。
我看了网上，你的Ceton应该也是可以几个电脑（或xbox)之间通过WMC Share的。你可
以试试。如果好用，可以省掉一个comcast的盒子。 |

直接99刀SoC的高清机搞定了
就算是发烧友，也不应该搞什么HTPC，SoC的解码效果，和后期处理
还是要比PC好
HTPC相对于一般STB的存在理由，主要就是媒体的集中储存管理，并且播放
dvd时代，能够网络播放dvd的机器，很晚才有，而且都不是主流
现在，蓝光和各种高清格式，能基本通吃，包括完整菜单支持，并且做到流畅网络播放的
SoC的STB中，也只有Syabas的PCH C200和HDi的Dune Prime，都是以864x为核心的
剩下的就是HTPC
明年Ceton出的cablecard turner进入PC后，我觉得HTPC倒是的确能体现出他的优势来
用i3+H55的小板+cablecard turner，等于是DVR+bluray 播放器一体
从cable公司租卡，一个月一般才1-3USD，如果租DVR就贵不少。
如果ceton卡价格合理，那么HTPC也许能在价格上也体现出优势来
么折腾么。 |

发帖数: 16949 | 14 汗啊。查了一下，我从06年开始就没换过了，一直用comcast的，开始的promotion过了
就一直是全价。现在每月133，不知亏了多少钱啊。
我没用它家的DVR, 自己买了Moxi DVR,省了月租费，但一次性投资很大，$800。好处是
可以接外接硬盘，这样除了本身的500GB,还有可以有额外的空间（我加了个2T的硬盘）
。Tivo其实更好，但要交月租。Comcast自己的DVG只有80G，高清的话没几个片子就满
了。还要17块一个月。
另外我的计算机上也装了一个Ceton卡，可以在计算机上看高清。 |

一部分是天线也可以接收的免费节目，叫做OTA。
另外一部分就是收费的cable节目
如果你仅仅只要有线中OTA免费的部分
理论上，你要开通cable basic，然后买一个OTA turner卡即可。
这个卡应该可以外接天线，也可以接有线，都是同轴的口
下面这个是典型的QAM Turner卡，价格都很便宜
Hauppauge WinTV HVR-950Q - ATSC HDTV / QAM receiver / analog TV tuner - US
当然极少情况下，你不需要开通cable basic，也可以用这个卡接收到cable中的OTA部分
但是据我所知，大部分cable TV都scramble了OTA的信号，你还是需要QAMTurner才能接收
如果你要cable中加密的部分，比如Fox，TBS，TNT，HBO等等台
那么你需要买可以插cablecard的Turner 卡，典型的就是Ceton
你除了开通cable服务外，还需要租一个cablecard，大约每个月5刀左右 |

HTPC在蓝光这块，能提供完整方案的，要PAP，这不是说没有PAP，就不能叫做HTPC
明年会比较有意思，ceton出的cable卡+i3/H55倒是可以构成一个完整的DVR/bluray

have very good support.
