购买、运送过程的总开支$22,264.34，剩余$1,129.18。帐篷团募捐活动正式结束。这
部分剩余捐款将由家在成都的志愿者Chelsea Luo委托其在成都的志愿者朋友直接购买
灾区最急需的物资，同样以“MITBBS帐篷团”名义尽可能亲手发放到灾区人民手中。我
们将对这笔捐款的使用进行严格跟踪，所有购物单据、分发物资的照片以及当地灾民的
近况照片将会及时上传至本版。
事实上，Chelsea Luo已经用她通过义卖等途径募得的600多美金通过其家人的关系网以
出厂价格购买了一批军用棉被与衣物，通过其志愿者朋友送到了灾区。由于民政部门要
求所有救灾物资都要在民政部门登记分发以避免哄抢与重复发放等现象，他们把那批救
灾物资转交到了最基层一级的民政部门。值得一提的是Chelsea的母亲为了节省10元钱
的搬运费，居然独自一人把两大编织袋的衣物棉被从批发市场拖上车。在追踪我们捐赠

，就跑到town 里去查 permit, 发现4个bath 算是有plumbing permit, OK. 然后就傻
乎乎地跑到 Assessor office, 问可不可以将 assessment data 改成4个bath, staff
说可以，但是要涨 value, 每个 bath 1.5-2 万，我想了想还是要改。后来被告知房子
明年会基本按照买价的 95% 算 assessment value, 那么 assessment value会从 51万
涨到65万左右。 我心里一惊，吓坏了，这哪了得。 算下来 12.77X 65 万 /1000 = $
8300/年， 比以前多了1800/年. 每个月多了 $150.
我就随便查了一下 Lexington的一个房子的税， 那个房子比这个小一半， assessment
57万，但是要交 15.2X57万/1000 = $8900 的税。而且这个房子是烧油的，冬天据说
是每个月600-800 的油取暖的费用。

Chelsea.我第一只带到的狗狗。那天她好像也是第一次来adoption event。不清楚具体
是什么故事。第一天来的时候胆子很小，以下就钻到一辆SUV下面，我哄了十分钟才出
来。结果半个钟头之后就活蹦乱跳，带着我跑了一整个下午。跟谁都热情。想想有点像
森蝶一样的女汉子。哈哈。Chelsea一岁还不到，第二次来的时候就被一对gay couple
(来领养的好多都是gay couple的说）看上了，昨天他们来把chelsea领回家two weeks
trial period.看起来很nice的人，有一种刚养孩子恨不得把整个宠物店都买回家的气
