完全都没说chemE的坏话的，而chem坏话那么多。而且chemE也有很多postd啊，为什么
感觉千老(感觉挺贬义）的这个词似乎在形容理化生的学生。
另外如果化学系的做的project是chemE方向的，那以后找工作就比较好找么？3ks... |

要想排名高,招些做很fancy science的assistant prof
nano, bio, patterning/microfluidic, system biology,
fuel cell, biofuel, metabolic engineering等等,反正什么
热就招什么方向的的,funding自然多,也吸引本科生和研究生,
保证排名马上上去.可是这样做倒底有没有突出ChemE的特色和
长处,谁也不知道.
先说好啊,没有贬低上面那些方向的意思.关键是如果你是化工的人,
你就得拿出你看家的本领来从你不同于别人的角度来研究热点方向.
要不混然于其他众学科,就没法justify你这个单独学科存在的意义.
体外话,我一直以为
虽说90年代后 EE, CSE, MechE是工学院三大王牌军
但是 ChemE也不至于太差..
整了半天60-80年代在工学院绝对拉风的ChemE
现在成了拉大家后腿的差生了,faint.
就说新成员BioE吧,多少历史都来自ChemE啊.
ChemE老人给新人做嫁衣了... |

equation is based on thermodynamics. The exponential dependence on the
transition state Gibbs free energy comes from the assumption that the
transition state and the ground state are at thermo-equilibrium.
Thermo事实上在ChemE里面还蛮基础的，即使在transport的大多方程都是假设
thermoequilibrium推出来的(microscopic derivation)，理论上说，transport
equations只适用于near thermoequlibrilium. 还有phase transition，heat
capacity这些concepts都是来自于thermoydnamics.

engineer to work in upstream? so you believe that cheme engineer's role in

CheMe to Statistics.
Statistics is also hard now. It is a small field relative to the engineer,
too many graduates now. |

I got 3 papers published in my master. Although I did them in ChemE, they
are related to making some fancy nano-stuff to remove pollutants from the
environment. These pollutants could cause cancers in human beings.
Then I worked for Ph.D. in ChemE by doing controlled release of drugs.
Now, I am doing controlled drug release and developing biomaterials for
tissue engineering and cancer therapy in Pharmaceutical sciences.

一些，提高点自己的个人修养好吧。我的数据就是我身边的人。已经列举了很多例子了
。我认识的人以学CS,CHEME和chem的人居多。俺们学校就一中西部三流学校。96年
CHEME的本科班毕业（美国人）平均年薪四万以上，基本都找到工作。学有机合成的中
国MS,9697年间基本都拿得四万以上的offer，并且都是多个offer。化学的其它方向的
要难些，找到工作的留学生MS一般还是有三万多。学CS的中国MS，找到工作的都四万以
上，并且也没有听说谁没有找到工作的，三万多的也有，但是是个只读了几门电脑课的
化学postdoc. 所以我说你的“三万烧高香”至少在我的周围是偏低的。
我的中心思想：我想看看为什么我经历过的历史和你讲出来的差距这么大，所以我要看
数据。 |

谢谢你提的这些问题，我想我可能没有仔细考虑过以后的研究。只是我现在做的东西和
实际相差太远，完全是为了发文章而做研究，knock-out 这个酶的gene 这个生物也能
存活，而且根本不知道体内这个酶的底物是什么，现在做的研究用的是体外的
substrate，不是optimal的；结晶对蛋白位点的预测和酶assay很不一致，非常
frustrating。我对chemE的了解知之甚少，只是厌倦了生物这种脱离实际的研究，花这
么多时间和精力去搞一个non-essential的东西。以后不愿意去做博士后，所以想转到
工科，学习新的技术手段，希望毕业后能在公司找到工作。我看到这个版上大家的讨论
，似乎chemE里做的和生物相关的不是很好找工作，而只有做那些石油，流体啊什么的
才能更迎合市场的需要。不知道我的理解对不对，也不知道我这样半路出家如果完全脱
离生物去做真正化工的东西，是不是很难？

The rules appeared on Prof. Kubiak website for about 2 years in the
campus of ucsd, he has never awared about that???
Technically speaking, he was under control the lab rules. If he
unaware, who made that rules and post the rules on his website as

发帖数: 81 | 34 亲们，别在这里秀逗了。油多得是，就看是怎么采的了。自己能喷出来的是储量的10%
，用水驱能采到30%~50%，再注入二氧化碳，聚合物，表面活化剂，碱等等可以采到80~
90%。地下的东西那么好采出来么？可以提高采收率的。大庆，胜利，长庆油田至少还
能活30年。请不要悲观哦。
油品不高和采不采出来油有什么关系。你下游炼油产业水平不高就是了。所以欢迎
chemE的有识之士回国报效祖国，发展清洁汽油！ |

译安东)在香港各自注册成立一家公司后，于2012年9月用两家香港公司名义在江苏省张
家港保税区以美元出资注册成立了一家名为伊世顿国际贸易有限公司(下称伊世顿)。

期货交易，三年来非法获利高达20多亿元人民币，而用于犯罪的本金只有680万(50万美
