经过三年调查，俄亥俄州有史以来最大宗的签证诈欺案日前达成认罪协议，涉及滥用H-
1B签证的俄州州立莱特大学(Wright State University)将缴交100万元罚款，学校高层
还得继续接受司法部的严格审查。
莱特大学是在2010年到2015年间，利用高等院校聘雇外籍人员免抽签且不限数量即可获
H-1B签证的“漏洞”，将数十名员工“卖”给校外私营顾问公司，然后从中赚取非法的
薪资差价。
负责密西根州、俄亥俄州的国土安全部特别干员佛兰西斯(Steve Francis)说，希望执
法单位对莱特大学这起俄州有史以来最大宗签证诈欺案的制裁，对其他可能滥用签证的
机构、单位起警戒作用。

涉港评论惹众怒 加拿大华裔名嘴主持人辞职
加拿大知名中文电台AM1470隶属于加拿大新时代传媒，其中的“时事直击”节目由华裔
名嘴梁燕城主持。梁燕城在8月21日的一期节目中，讲到香港元朗地铁站内发生的暴力
袭击事件，声称袭击事件是“黑白武斗”，引发大量听众投诉。上周四（8月22日），
梁辞职。
据CBC报道，在今年7月香港发生的元朗袭击事件中，大量白衣人手持棍棒，袭击地铁站
内和车厢内人群，致45人受伤，其中包括记者、议员以及老弱妇孺，但警方没有任何作
为。后来警方消息称，白衣人与当地黑社会有关。
然而，梁燕城在上周三（8月21日）的电台“时事直击”（News Talk）粤语评论节目中
，称事件只不过是“黑白武斗”（反送中人士穿着黑衣）。节目播出后，大量听众在网
上投诉，指责梁氏颠倒黑白、混淆是非，听众还互相鼓励向电台和加拿大广播标准委员
会（CBSC）投诉。CBSC网站通知显示，由于投诉量太大，已超出其技术处理能力。
