i've sorted it out!
i just got a windows 2000 installation disc, boot my pc from cdrom, them enter
console repair, then run diskpart (something like that) to delete other
partitions other than the ntfs, then run chkdisk to repair then everything is
ok!!
i didn't succeed before when i used the boot disks (4 floppy disks) to do the
same thing because i didn't have windows 2000 disc in cdrom. the machine
simply reboot when i ran chkdisk.

一下d盘的SMART detail, (d不是ssd), 其中"re-allocated sector count" 这一行是
红的, action里说 "contact your reseller or manufacturer for assistance", 在
网上搜了一下, 说这是表明硬盘有坏道, 而且可能多到了硬盘自己无法修复的地步了,
可我用windows自带的工具扫了一下硬盘, 没有发现任何坏道. 还有什么进一步诊断的
工具? 到底是smart出问题, 还是确实硬盘出问题了? |

网上说, 硬盘如果有坏道, 先用预留的空间修复,就是remap, 如果re-allocated
sector counter持续增长到较大值, 硬盘离死不远了, 我在smart里看到, 这一项的raw
已经是1192了, 比门限值 5 大很多啊, 可我用windows checkdisk没有发现任何bad
sector
我刚刚用hddscan跑了个surface test,也没有发现任何bad sector |

扔掉吧。总比彻底挂掉的时候，叫天天不应，叫地地不灵的回复数据好。 |

如果比较密集就好办了 把它分出来隐藏掉。。
我的笔记本硬盘3个坏道 reallocated到96了。。还坚持了半年 （不过早就全盘备份+
买了新的希捷hybrid盘）终于这次放假忍不住 换掉了
不过之前已经很卡拉。。 |

1.请问这个错误本身能修复吗？试过smart selftest, force chkdisk when restart,
都没用
2. 想用最省事的方法把系统挪到新盘（容量更大的盘），可以直接用
dd if=/dev/sda of=/dev/sdb
a.新盘/sdb 需要先格式化成/ext3,但不用分区，是吗 （sda是ext3）?
b.上面1的错误会不会影响dd?
c.考完了过后需不需要搞什么grub --install, 怎么搞？

Have you tried this?
1. Boot pc from a Linux liveusb and run backblocks on the problemic device
to locate the bad sector: badblocks -sv -b 512 /dev/sd
2. Confirm the bad sector: dd if=/dev/sd of=/dev/null bs=512 count=1 skip
=
3. If bad sector is confirmed by seeing an error message on step 2, then go
ahead to relocate the bad sector: dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/sd bs=512
count=1 seek=

the PC, windows performed chkdisk on it;seemed find some errors and fixed them

However, when the PC is up, I found it very slow. What is worse is that two
partitions on the old drive lost. It shows 100% free.
My OS is XP sp2, which is installed in primary master.
my old 20G used to have 4 partitions:), say, D, E, F, G. now D and F shown as
raw, E and G seems ok so far.
