20世纪的古乐复兴运动中英国大学历史悠久的合唱团们发挥了很大的作用
说美国的话，格什温/艾夫斯/科普兰/伯恩斯坦/萨缪尔-巴伯 在现当代作曲家里都很大
牌啊。。。
二战后美国成为当代古典音乐发展的中心。。。最有美国特色的流派是极简主义，
Glass/Steve Reich/Le Monte Young/John Adams....影响力还是蛮大的！ |

发帖数: 334 | 7 因为女儿所在的Wind Ensemble 要与Orchestra 合演一支曲子，我们第一次去看了学校
的 Orchestra Concert 。（原谅我用英文吧，我实在翻译不好这些名词）
先是 6年级的学生演奏。接下来是 Chamber Orchestra 的演出。Chamber Orchestra
是6、7、8三个年级里挑出来的学生组成的。听着看着，然后发现，这其中，黑头发黄
皮肤的占大多数，得有三分之二。
再下来是7、8年级合演。舞台上都坐满了，总共将近90个学生，很壮观哪。Violin I，
Violin II， Viola，Bass， Cello。很好听。然后7 年级的学生离开，一个8年级的
女生 Violin 独奏，有钢琴伴奏，演完之后掌声雷动，很多听众站了起来在鼓掌，然后
又有很多人也陆续跟着站起来鼓掌，有人给这女生献花。接下来就是Wind Ensemble 走
上舞台坐好，与Orchestra 合演了一支曲子。然后是8年级的学生演奏。最后一曲是7、
8年级合演的。
整个是近1.5 个小时的音乐会。真的感觉很不错。下个周四，是Band Concert 了，包

stunning choral and instrumental piece for the Nebraska Choral Arts Society
and Children's Chorus called "Inscription of Hope." Based on fragments of
Jewish text found on a cellar wall in Cologne, Germany during World War II,
it is believed to have been scrawled by a child hiding from the Nazis.

因为是“全程英文发言”，这两场演讲被包括联合国官微在内的媒体广泛报道。学会一门外语并不能一蹴而就，彭丽媛的英文也肯定不是临时抱佛脚。她到底是从什么时候开始能够驾驭英语的？
别忘了她是中国首个声乐硕士
广为人知的是，在上个世纪70年代末，彭丽媛就进入山东艺术学院，师从著名的声乐教育家老师王音璇，主攻民族唱法。
1981年，她收到了中央音乐学院寄来的进修通知书。据媒体报道，在中央音乐学院期间，同学送了她一个外号“三点一线”，就是“琴房、宿舍、食堂”。
在随后的9年中，彭丽媛先完成了声乐本科的学业，又在1990年通过论文答辩，以优异的成绩获得了硕士学位，成为我国首位民族声乐硕士。

I cannot tell you alot about this piano. We purchased it from a woman who
was the pianist for the Colorado Children's Chorale. She replaced it with a
Steinway. You do not often see Knight pianos in the United States. They are
from England. This piano is an upright which means it has full length
strings. It is a fine piano which we bought for our daughters to learn piano
. They are no longer living at home. It is in very good condition.

其实小提三把最多了，外加一个 DJ phase shift / choral 等等效果搞一搞，
效果不会比三千把小提琴差多少。
所以大部分交响乐队倒闭是迟早的事。 |

少party 和免费音乐节，可我直到最近才见识了downtown的免费音乐会。先是
Millennium Park 的 free classical concert。接着是grand park的 summer dance。
人真是不少，可惜没有舞伴，只能一旁当看客了。
以后每周都有，下周的concert是Choral Masterpieces: Bernstein and Faure (Fri 6

威。12月7号正是目前为止最冷的一天，零下8度...船上装了一个燃气火炉，外加两个
电暖气，搞得房间里温暖如春。
没带大相机，卡片机拍摄，夜间拍摄行驶中的船，很难，曝光时间太长，船已经走远了。

巴赫的恰空, "用一个主题唤出了整个世界", 那是一个悲愤的
主题, 那么她带来是一个什么样的世界呢?
1994年德国的巴赫学者Helga Thoene发表了一篇论文, 她发现,
巴赫在这首著名的恰空中隐含了或暗示了一些chorales主题,
而这些主题, 从包括他们的那些康塔塔的文字中, 揭示了唯一的
含义, 那就是Morimur. 巴赫何以在克腾宫廷时期写下如此悲凉
的作品, 要知道这几年是巴赫事业的高峰, 后来巴赫回忆起来
无不带有怀念之情? 据考证这首恰空是巴赫一次随公爵旅行归来
创作的, 而这次旅行也是巴赫所终生难忘的, 因为他再也见不
到他的妻子了, 他的妻子已经在家中病故. 这样就诞生了恰空. |

1) tchaikovsky violin concerto, 第一乐章主题一出来, 太温暖了, 好几次听到这个
地方都想哭.
2) holst planets jupiter, 气势难出其右.
3) bach 的 chorale preludes, 645, 649, 650. 出世的最高境界.
我也发现美国去听现场的绝大部分都是老头老太, 而且还经常睡着.
其中好多人似乎都不是因为喜欢才来听的. |

有人和我一样喜欢Pachelbel's Canon吗？有一天开着车，WETA开始播放，被它的
beauty感动，车开到了还继续听，竟然大哭 （shy）。从前也听过，但也许那个
版本特别。
今天WETA又播了，看了看曲目单, 是
Orpheus Chamber Orchestra

周围没有多少喜欢classical music的朋友，但今天发现了这个版。我没有学过乐器（除
了在附近一个community college修了1学期钢琴）但很喜欢听，很小的时候就会听音、识谱。喜欢Bach和Beethoven. 去Strathmore 听过 BSO的Brandenburg, 不过观众全是爷爷奶奶辈的，而且那么的好听竟然睡倒一片。
对了，还很喜欢听choral music, 合唱。

this piece，听了有上百遍! 我觉得这部作品是他钢协和交响曲的完美结合，钢琴部分
既有交响曲的那种激进昂扬，理性沉着，又有钢协的婉婉道来，侠骨柔肠，一唱再三叹
，和美秒的曲调。
最棒的是里面钢琴和乐队的对话，太带劲过瘾了（他的钢协里也常有），到后面在加入
合唱，世界大同，莫过如此！虽然不懂德文，还是每每听到最后的合唱是感动的落泪。
谢谢楼主让我又听了一遍这久违的曲子.

singing the same song together, but we 'd better to clearfiy the term if we
talk about it as the beautiful choral art. And there are other ensembles for
voices such as duet, trio, quartet and octet etc.
