但是，是contract的职位，而且他帮我找consulting 公司。
就是，他帮我联系consulting公司，然后 让 consulting 把我 send cisco。
为什么不是 full-time？ 他说现在公司雇人制度上的问题。意思是想看看我的表现。
第一次合同是3个月。如果表现好了，还可以继续签下一个 “3个月”。。
我问，如果表现好了，可不可以转 full-time。 他说当然可以。
这个靠不靠谱啊？
感觉机会挺难得的。想去，又有些担忧。
不知有没有一样的情况。或了解情况的前辈。

有个公交线叫Bauer Wi-Drive，从san ramon到南湾，pleasanton也是一站，cisco也是
一站（好几站，不同的位置）
全程50分钟左右，平时略慢，但是堵车的时候优势明显因为你可以在车上睡大觉或者上
网游戏/工作（是的，有免费无线网络，还有电视）。
车费可以每个月设flexible spending税前消费。
具体时间去他网站上查吧，不知道变了没，以前是早上8点多到cisco，下午6点前启程

电面是manager来做的，15分钟介绍cisco，大概30分钟提问算法/os/network，15分钟
问简历经验。
算法两题，精华区都有
一是翻转字符串，
二是在大数组中只有两个一样的数，设计方法把这个数找出来
on-site问的都是简历，对c/c++基本功有很高要求，推荐各位去 http://www.c-faq.com/ 看看
建议投cisco的同学们on-site之前还是好好复习一下简历上那些经验。 |

1. working environment is extremely important. try to stay away from
indian managers or a lot indian co-workers. however, i know it is almost a
luxury in the computer industry to do so in the bay area today.
2. nvidia is one of the worst companies, not to mention comparing it with
Amazon and cisco. in contrary, amazon is the best among the three.
3. you don't even know which cisco team it is, do you?

Why is that? As I observe:
1) New types of network gears such as application acceleration led by
Riverbed and F5 (RVBD FFIV)
2) New demands for gears to build *high-bandwidth* data centers from both
wired and wireless service providers such as AT&T/Comcast to meet the ever-
growing multimedia content delivering. Several small players are thriving by

个internship的质量……唯一在网上搜到的一点信息是说工资低但转正率高……如果哪
位大哥大姐对Cisco的intern有任何信息的话，请告诉我吧，只剩两天回复时间了！
想想大公司应该不会把intern做得很差，但基于以上种种事实……而且其他公司还没面
完，实在是不甘心提前就把这个不知好坏的offer接受了……
另外，接受了的intern offer可以反悔么？ |

Cisco更少，但钱不是考虑因素
想请问一下大家，在哪个公司intern以后对master毕业以后找码农工作好一些？我的个
人观点是Cisco太专注于network，写代码可能会跟网络协议啊神马的打交道，以后想去
别的公司可能不太match，但是听说转正率比较高，Amazon的话我不太清楚intern在里
面做什么，对以后找其他技术公司帮助大不大。希望能有了解这两个公司的人指点一下

the intern can be prompted to full time as long as
(1) rank (position) is available
(2) your manager wants you
(3) you will graduate within one year. (May is fine).
In 2009, almost all Cisco new hires from schools
(1) were interns before
(2) got offers when the intern period finished. |

现在是Cisco (San Jose) 的Software Engineer II,可能很快能升到III。
有个去东湾San Ramon的AT&T Labs的Principal Member of Technical Statff
的机会（不是纯研究的lab，内部客户4G网络规划数据建模分析处理等）。
base salary应该差不多，据说San Ramon的学区好，不过娃娃才5个月，
这方面不是很要紧。那里的neighborhood好吗？老婆不工作带娃。
有经验的请指点一下，给点建议？
