发现很多MB dealer都有这么个现象：展厅里从来不把ML和GL跟别的型号放在一起展示。
这几天看2013款ML，发现美国产的MB质量真是走下坡路了。基本上我在评论MDX那个帖
子里说的MDX的缺点，这段时间产的ML/GL也有同样的问题。考虑ML/GL的人去现场试车
的时候不妨留意一下我说的这些方面。
问题1：德国产MB的车窗周围那一圈镀铬的装饰条，是闪亮的；而ML/GL那个装饰条，质
量差很多，试图想造出闪亮的效果；实际却发暗、发乌，就像被酸雨腐蚀那样。触感的
话德国产的摸上去是金属的感觉，美国产的让人觉得是塑料；怪不得不能放在一起，反
差太明显；
问题2：外壳部件接合基本上没有均匀的。门缝、发动机盖子、车后盖上粗下窄（或者
下粗上窄等等）比比皆是。不需要用尺子量，肉眼就能看出来；对比之下德国产的都没

最后的美国人的preschool都没有太大问题，虽然也是不听指令，老师讲课的时候，他
不怎么听，玩自己的，但是问他问题都知道，就是不愿做作业，写字，手不是很灵活，
涂颜色经常在外面。但老师也不太care,也挺耐心的，经常鼓励他，让他帮老师干点活
，发了午饭，玩具什么的。他挺高兴，也挺配合。老师也说过他的注意力的问题，让我
们找医生或专家看看。
中间的中文preschool是个惨痛的经历。老师天天抱怨，因为他们上课一定要坐的规规
矩矩，一大堆的作业手工，从早到晚就是上课，我儿子就经常满地乱走，或乱涂乱画一
气。老师经常time out他，一time out他就哭。每天都不happy.
最后我们也担心他这样上学不行，就送他到学区preschool的special class.在那里也
没有什么问题，而且我们觉得进步很大，可以安静的挺故事，描字。这样半年后，要上

来美就他们2人，行李可多可少，就算坐FIRST CLASS，东西再多也不会每个人带3个免
费的大箱子。返回中国的时候我会和他们一起带着BABY走，还会CARRY大量的奶粉。不
过按照我以前的经济舱飞行经历，机场CHECK IN的时候工作人员见你带着BABY一起飞，
会主动把你调在第一排，那个位置和FIRST CLASS的宽度也差不多吧。即便多加一个行
李，也就70刀。而且，3个大人的FIRST CLASS机票点数+1 BABY的FIRST CLASS机票也不
少阿。

、以及生活轻松程度来划分class的。所以在他们来看，皮科、放射科或牙科是first
class，而内科、家庭科、小儿科是second class MD。
我只能说，用这种思路来classify MD，这种分类标准本身就不是first class。
我也不是清高到不问钱，我只是觉得内科的十几万底线，已经足够支持一个很好的生活
，虽然有些专科, 譬如Hem/Onc,cardiology, Nephrology… 也可以有几十万的年薪，
但我选择将来的专科方向时候，已经不再考虑钱的因素，而是主要考虑兴趣的满足、个
人潜质的发挥、将来可能的成就、以及某些心灵深处情感的寄托。
从上面几个例子可以看到，有不少优秀的美国医学生，在选择内科的时候，不是为了钱
，不是因为进不了其他科，而是因为兴趣，因为自由选择。
CMG在match的时候，的确受到限制，很难match进皮科、放射科，但说实在的，有多少
CMG是真对皮科、放射科的学科本身感到兴趣的？ |

果然，过了一个多月，儿子高兴地告诉我，老师让那个smith问他单词如何拼。那可是

我告诉儿子，学英语就像进学校一样，妈妈就把你领到门口，进去后怎么走就要靠自己

如果你努力，很快就可走到门口，如果你不努力，那就要走很久。儿子学校的校长也告

平。
建议家长在家要辅导孩子的学习。

vanderbilt university常被用来举例，南方的典型氛围，谁能介绍一下什么样？
我感觉加州非常diverse和laid-back，所以也看上去没有elite的氛围，南方会有什么

还有，谁知道美国的富人都在哪里？美国有钱人多吗？那些“upper class”的人我们
能在哪见到？他们什么样？
我感觉在学校里，都是普通家境的学生，那算是“upper middle class”吗？还是什么
别的class？？美国社会class怎么分的？
我感觉我来美国见的人，都不是很“上流社会”的人。那“上流社会”的人都在哪里？

New York University will offer a class next semester on Occupy Wall Street (
possibly two). Perhaps it's an attempt to keep their students in class
making use of their students loans, rather than camped out in Zuccotti Park
and other parks complaining about them.

A new study by Douglas Holtz-Eakin of the American Action Forum finds that
President Barack Obama's spending plan would raise taxes on the middle class
. "[T]axpayers making as little as $30,000 will carry $1,500 more in taxes
annually over the next 10 years," the study finds.
