技术性比较一下：上海内环单价是50k-60k RMB每平方，按55k均价，6.38汇率，1平米=10.76平尺，15%公摊（高楼公摊相对多一点），相当于美国的$943每平尺。曼哈顿现在的平均单价大约是$1070每平尺，上海内环的单价是曼哈顿的88%。人民币再涨15%，上海内环就比曼哈顿贵了。br />
哈顿的房价最近跌了不少，可能会有较多的反弹。
我觉得最终上海内环的房价会比曼哈顿贵，有可能会达到东京的房价甚至更高。不过现在已经很高了，投资买房的风险比较大。

The reason is,
only those rich classmates are willing to re-union.
The poor guys won't show up, to save money, or may be even have to work
after hour.
Most of my high school classmates were graduated from decent college in
Beijing, Shanghai.
Not many of them think their current situation is much better than mine, a

I strongly urge a "No" vote on SCA-5. SCA-5 allows public universities to
use race in admissions decisions. In 1997 former President Bill Clinton
insisted that he wants to continue in this direction--tilting the government
's emphasis from "race-based" programs like affirmative action toward

actually, one of my classmates has been really successful in MA, successfull
meaning holding huge network, earning big money yearly, as proved by their
newly purchased house in the northeast, when her hubby was still a postdoc.
I didn't really feel she became one of those "bad people", but I personally

your career? If not, try to reach a more financially-rewarding position on
the career ladder one rung at a time. If yes, you might want to consider
other options.
For those who want to do ebiz as either a major income or supplemental one,
ask xlin or other spiritual doctors and nurses. There might be other ways
to have a moonlighting job here and there. Are you read to sacrifice your

some of Ms. Kinney's points (and disagree with some as well). I'm Asian, and
am the first to admit that my parents taught me what TJ was at an early age
--not because they pushed me to the point where I had to get in, but because
my mother's best friend's daughter graduated from TJ (and went to Harvard).
I looked up to this girl and wanted to attend TJ, too.
