Case details can't be disclosed because they might still be a chance that
one day, some new clue pop up that will break open the case. For example,
if someone in a few year shows proof that Bei Zhi Cheng, or someone
associated with him, bought Thallium product, or one of the people living
in the dorm confessed to the crime, then the case could be reopened.

1. It shows serious flaw in police work, so you are not likely to find any
useful clues in the case file even if it's opened.
2. Since it's such flawed police work, those comments that say police were
confident about breaking the case case stop now. You can't expect them to
find the right person unless they lucked out and stumbled upon him/her.

there are definite biases in textbooks, from the American point of view
mainly, such as with issues on slavery and indian removal
