Failure: ‘Cash For Clunkers’ Cost America $6 Billion in Wasted Money
Warner Todd Huston August 23, 2014
Obama’s “Cash for Clunkers” program was his idea to save American auto
buyers money and help “green” the roads at the same time. But the program
was a monumental failure. It was so bad it has now been determined that it
didn’t save anyone anything. In fact, it cost America 6 billion in wasted
dollars!
Along with the obvious problems with the program that showed up right at the

Aug. 20 (Bloomberg) -- The U.S. “cash for clunkers” vehicle trade-in

LaHood said.
The clunkers plan, which offers auto buyers discounts of as much as $4,500
to trade in older cars and trucks for new, more fuel-efficient vehicles, has

I think this “cash-for-clunkers” bill may be interesting to our Chinese
community. If some one has an old car that could be used to trade in and is
planing to buy a new car, he or she might able to benefit from this new
