发帖数: 8291 | 1 昨天我女儿在那儿说中国烧太多的coal, 导致global warming.
我马上针对性教育了半个小时。
首先，中国烧炭是替全世界生产东西，包括美国，她穿的用的很多是中国产的。
美国就可以少烧炭了。所以不是中国要多少coal, 而是人类的消费需求导致多烧coal.
其次，global warming是个没有证实的东西。很多人天天讲，就把它讲成“事实”了。
实际情况过去几年全球气温是降低的。所以目前没有证实global warming是个真实存在
的trend.
第三，地球上的气温pattern在历史上是一直变化的，跟很多因素有关，特别跟太阳有
关。以前没有人类的时候就有温度很高的年代，也有冰川季。人类活动改变地貌，改变
大气，这些因素最终对全球气温的影响还需要更多的科学研究才能知道。
最终，通过讨论，google, 孩子知道了老师讲的东西，书上读的东西不一定是对的。
教育一定不能全部推给学校来完成。 |

NYSE includes quite a few companies in the sector. Patriot Coal is up well
over 10% on renewed rumors of a takeover/merger with Massey Energy .
Stillwater Mining is also up over 10% on heavy trade. Other strong
performers include Massey Energy, James River Coal , Consol Energy and
Walter Energy , all of which are up between 3% and 5% on expanding volume.

（1）climax run还没来，估计dow 13000, SP 1360-1370左右。哪天来个高开高走，第
二天再来个大高开才会有见顶的迹象. 目前这样的慢牛估计还得一段时间。
（2）还有一些sector没有涨，比如coal.等所有的sectors都涨一遍，然后垃圾股暴涨
的时候就差不多了。
（3）场外资金充足，去年底割肉的很多人还没有进场，很多人的401k都换成了cash或
bond. 看着市场一天天的涨，踏空与亏钱还难受，要等这些人忍不住慢慢进入市场。前
几天一个同学贴出说现在的场内／场外资金比是最低吗，这些场外钱为市场提供了稳定
的资金。
最重要的是，即使回调，估计也不大。
我比较看好：
（1）今年我觉得中国国内股票以及这里中国概念股相关的会表现好，主要是去年打压
太厉害了，现在似乎有很多最多中国的声音。考虑SINA, DANG. 觉得上证至少反弹２
０％－３０％今年。
（2）coal等还未涨起来的板块,考虑ACI,ANR,JRCC.准备５０％仓位在这里。在石油高
涨的情况下，相信coal也会补涨。

covering will bring the price back to close to $15. then again, you may not
get it.
It's not because of any particular bad new, it's in the bad cycle. China don
't import more coal, now Obama is proposing new law to stop coal burning
electricity, the coal sit there like dirt when nobody is buying them. |

coal已经死翘翘了，PCX都快倒闭了，没有cash flow。
coal的最大market，india和china，结果去过几个月，中美shipping cost increase
significantly。还有可笑的一个船在海上飘几个月的。india前阵子喊喊不再迷信金子
了，结果金子掉了。
从价格看。
natural gas现在是dirty cheap，就算是甲烷的高额storage cost，算上无数cost，
apply一堆设备，应用起来依然是economic，什么东西经济一drive，就是最大的。
从应用来看。
natural gas的商业用途和家用需求一直是稳定的，特别是北美市场，现在很多company
对canada和US建了pipe。
从产量看。
现在气田很多，cheesepak貌似刚发现一个位于加拿大的。 |

oil and gas), I should say that gas has the brightest near-term future (in 0
-50 years, including NG, LNG, LPG) while coal has the least. According to
EIA@DOE, in the next decades, NG will erode market share of coal while oil
remains largely stable (unless transportation industry takes a major reform)
. This is aligned with your observation and prediction.
Oil is for sure dirtier than gas. But in terms of CO2, oil is |

is familiar. The history of the facility after Japan's defeat is less well
known. Under various names, it did survive for some time, producing an odd

我脚得coal的地位近期（１年？）不会被NG动摇，至少在power generation这一块。
首先是比较一下０９年１月和１０年１月发电用煤量，基本没有变化。
