刚开始工作的时候，我常常会和同事们一起出去吃午餐，有几个白人同事每次都拒绝吃
中餐或者其他亚洲食物。一开始的时候我还以为是同事们事逼，没有尝试新鲜东西的心
态。后来混熟了，他们跟我说不敢吃中餐的主要原因是每次吃完都有food coma（暂且
称之为“饭困”吧），影响工作。
记得有一次午饭带他们去吃日本拉面，下午1点的会议，那叫一个无精打采。除了中餐
，日本拉面，印度饭制造“饭困”的能力也是杠杠的。后来我们几个约定是不太忙的周
五中午去吃这些让人发困但无比好吃的亚洲美食。。
老美的午餐，普遍碳水化合物的比例偏低。很多中午健身的美国人，午餐吃的就只有蛋
白、蔬菜和水果。即便是Burger和三明治一类的，那个白面包的重量基本也是可以忽略
的。
相比之下，中餐里的米饭、白面含量高。大量的精米和精面会瞬间转化为糖，而血糖的
升高很容易导致人乏困。我有几个特别能吃米、面的朋友，他们有时候甚至晚餐以后都
需要小憩一会。而那反观些精力比较旺盛的朋友，通常都不怎么吃碳水化合物。

Freddie Gray, who died a week after suffering injuries while in Baltimore
police custody, had a lengthy criminal record, mainly for drug-related
offenses, according to state court records. Police claim he was “involved
in criminal activity,” prior to his arrest.
Gray, 25, died after spending seven days in a coma as a result of injuries
he suffered while in the custody of city police, the Baltimore Sun reports.
His arrest record includes at least 18 arrests:
