你再读读标题,我觉得正常人都不会弃理解不用而用comprehend,这里没有中文表达不
准确的问题,而且从中文输入法切换英文还挺麻烦,当然对于接轨已经成为下意识的人
来说很正常

无所事事?何况如果孙维是清白的,是被人诬陷的,那么互联网上只能存在毫无证据的

Indeed, there are many Ph.D. programs that can be closed. The first one on
my list to close would be the Religion program in Columbia university. Why
do we need Ph.D.'s specializing in religion? Leave that area to the rabis
and ministers!

娃前几天跟俺说看了一本有关 WWII 一个小女孩的 biography,小女孩
十几岁是死于营养不良(俺还没看,打算今晚看)。Help comprehend
the cruelty of the war,precious the value of life。
关于 down syndrome 还有 dyspraxia 的书。。。Help comprehend
those special need kids in the school。。。
关于 Leukemia 的书。。。 life / death and inevitable。。。
娃看了 Headache 的书,昨天跟俺说 the brain is precious 。。。
看 Bill Clinton 的书,其他没说,居然就跟俺说 Clinton lied 。。。
Anyway,俺觉得 non-fiction change viewpoint 是没错的。。。

katevlaben is not easy to translate. “To seize” or “to grasp” is
possible, but this also permits “to grasp with the mind” in the sense of
“to comprehend” (esp. in the middle voice). We are probably faced with
another Johannine double meaning here, but I prefer the sense of “to
overcome” rather than “to understand”: one does not usually think of
Darkness as trying to understand light. For it to mean this, we must

when you say someone is "大师", this guy must stand the test of time. we of
course can compare him against anyone who's accepted as true master by the
general public. without comparison, anyone can be called master.
every dialect has its own intrisic beauty that only the native speakers can
comprehend. beijing dialect is just one kind among hundred others. i enjoy
my own dialect as much as i don't care about yours.

They are not only enormously brilliant than others in their era, but still
enormously brilliant than us, majority of us, if not all, no matter in USA,
in China, or elsewhere. Can you even write sth close to Tao Te Ching , or
the art of war, now, after this much accumulation of knowledge? To be
honest , I don't think most of us even can't fully comprehend the gist of
these great works.
