中关村回顾

中关村是我青少年时代成长的地方，1953年我随父母从杭州迁往北京后，不久就住进中
关村，直到1984年远赴加拿大，近三十年几乎就沒离开过这塊土地。
2006年5月，与1953年相距整整五十三年，我又回到了这里，回到了15楼前。多巧的是
二个“53”的数字呀，它们之间会有什么联系吗？触景生情，一幕幕往事呈现在眼前。

意大利物理学家费米因用中子轰击靶元素产生放射性和超铀元素获得1938年诺贝尔物理
奖。他到斯德哥尔摩领取诺贝尔奖后没有回国，而是与全家前往美国，于1939年1月2日
到达纽约市。五所大学向他提供了教授职位，他最后决定到哥伦比亚大学工作。费米离
开意大利的主要原因是意大利政府在1938年颁布了种族法，而费米的妻子是犹太人。
玻尔1939年1月到普林斯顿大学讲学，带来了哈恩-斯特拉斯曼实验及迈特纳与弗里施的
理论解释和弗里施实验的信息。两位哥伦比亚大学的物理学家，拉比（IsidorIsaac
Rabi，1898 –1988）和兰姆（Willis EugeneLamb, Jr. 1913 –2008），正在普林斯
顿大学工作，他们把信息带回给费米。拉比是波兰出生的犹太人，在美国长大，因发现
核磁共振获得1944年诺贝尔物理奖。兰姆因氢光谱精细结构方面的发现获得1955年诺贝

看似简单的事，表妹第一次带男朋友(美国人，未同居)在我家过圣诞节，准备待五个晚
上，顺便在附近旅游，SHOPPING。
老婆不太愿意表妹的男友住我家，想让他住旅馆或别处，原因有：
1。我们老大5岁，小的3个月，现在我爸妈帮着带孩子。主卧卫生间小，每天要5个人(
我爸妈，大儿子，表妹两人)用另一个卫生间。
2。小的三个月，怕感冒和传染。而且没时间招待他们(男朋友对面食，牛奶过敏)。
我想作为主人，尽可能招待一下，理由如下：
1。男朋友可以住地下室。他也表示不在意睡气垫床。让他住旅馆会使客人觉得不受欢
迎。
2。洗澡几天忍忍就过去了。如果5晚上太多，可以建议他们改成四晚上。

发帖数: 190 | 45 5月16号在LA downtown的metro rail line左转闯了很短时间的红灯，被拍照了，今天
网上看到罚单480刀。
前段时间网上看到city of LA的红绿灯都撤了，并且不再开罚单，另外即使收到了罚单
也不用理会。但rail way旁边的还有些没撤，还是一直在拍的。奇怪的是我虽然在city
of LA闯了红灯，但是网上罚单写着是Compton Photo Radar，compton好像是一个别的
city（估计还没有取消摄像头）。估计是他们知道有人要用city of LA这个argue，所
以估计把罚单归到别的city。
另，因人暂时在东南部，无法去法庭argue，如果argue的话可否给法官寄信？
不知道有没有明白其中细节的达人可以帮忙，非常感谢！ |
