如果是public vehicle, 还必须是unloaded, separated from ammo. 那如果是自己的
car可以把loaded gun放在cabine里吗(假设没有ccw执照)? 还是必须放trunk, unloaded?

means others can see that you are carrying a gun.
so regarding your question, if the box is a gun case then it's an open carry

weapon，一般泛指可合法持有该weapon的license。科州是open carry州，
即手里拿着个枪招摇过市是合法的，啥证都不要，但如果想身上偷偷藏着个枪
那就得要CCW license。就像是说，你要想骂我，当着我面儿骂没问题，但
要是背地里骂就不行。有趣吧。 |

就是own和carry的区别
对于拥枪，其实很多州外国人都是可以拥有枪支的，
具体要看当地法律了，我对NYC不熟悉，不好乱说
但是不要把中国的持枪证和这里的法律混淆了
我已经不止一次被问这里怎么申请持枪证，美国难申请的
是carry weapon的证，名称随各地不同，加州和很多其他
的州叫CCW,concealed carry weapon,
TX叫CHL,Concealed Handgun License
还是那句话，具体法律依照州法和城市的规定，一定要研读
当地法律，虽然美国的烟草管理局有相关法律，但是州往往
还有自己的解读。 |

是随身带枪的。我们也是枪友，所以他老是劝我拿concealed gun license,, " 这个世
界会乱的。。” 老子才不信这一套，世界乱了谁还在乎你有没有license？ 并且我也
不像你天天骑着破摩托满世界转。咱也没有干那些让贼人盯着的买卖或者勾当，下九流
的地方咱也不去，用不着conceal啥。
不过哪，本人绝对枪的爱好者。小记有手枪4把，长枪4支（ak47一只）子弹常年保有量
5000发左右。咱的枪只对靶子不对人，当然除非你不请自入咱的领地。。。。。就这个
问题专门和警察讨论过。。。他说除非对方有直接攻击行为，开枪致死致伤都是很麻烦
的，因为出了人命，法院不可能只评咱的一面只词来断案。。
另外，关于拿枪保护自己的问题。一个基本原则，只要你掏出枪来就一定有要开枪的信
心和理由，否则会把你自己放到更加不利的位置上去。
再说回到枪，我比教喜欢一款专业狙击步枪，可问题是没处打呀。。。。，

其实在今年之前，全美国只有六七个州禁止open carry，德州是其中一个，而剩下四十
多个州都是允许open carry的。
即使是现在，德州允许open carry了，但还是需要有执照的人才能carry。很多州的
open carry是不需要执照的。
所以open carry这事情，真的没必要大惊小怪。即使法律允许，绝大部分人还是不会
open carry的，真正合法的拥枪者往往很低调。
但是open carry是有好处的，比如说本来是conceal的，但是一不小心弯腰露出来了，
就变成open了，还有在腰间选择owb配枪，外面罩外套或者衬衫，结果一不小心撩开了
衣服，open了，这在以前不合法，可能被警察抓起来。虽然法律说了如果是不小心露出
来的，不算违法，但是有的时候可能说不清到底是不是故意。现在允许open就不怕了。
我曾经有过深夜在偏僻的加油站加油的事情，周围有些人让我有些警觉，我的手枪揣在
口袋里。如果法律允许open carry，我就可以直接把枪露出来。

concealed carry。
没有什么放之四海而皆准的措施，各种不同的场合就有不同的特点。不是所有地方都适
合带枪。
作为一个拥枪者，我并不支持不分场合的带枪。但是如果某些禁枪措施只禁好人的枪却
不管坏人的枪，那就不合适了。open carry这事情比较好办，因为一目了然。比如说，
costco贴个标志说我这里不许带枪，但是标志并无法律效力，你open carry进去，并不
违法，但是open，别人就能看见，店员可以宣布你是不受欢迎的顾客把你赶走，你也不
能赖在那里。可是如果是conceal就不好办了，老实人一看牌子禁枪，就不带枪，坏人
熟视无睹照样带枪。如果贴了3006标志，即使有持枪证也不能带枪，否则是犯罪，但是
罪犯照样熟视无睹。
我个人认为，如果不能辨认带枪不带枪，那么gun free zoon就是鼓励犯罪的地方。很
多大屠杀都发生在不能合法持枪的gun free zone就很能说明问题。

Only concealed carry needs permit.
In Virginia, it's illegal to conceal carry in a restrurant that serves
alcohol, but you can open carry there, as long as the property owner is ok

我昨天第一次去上课归来，写个总结吧。比较罗嗦。慎入。
课程是在craigslist上找的，certified的教练，专门给Concealed Carry License上课
的。对新手提供Firearm Orientation课程。三小时一对一训练，学费90块。我看了他
们的网站上学员留的feedback，觉得非常好。他老婆处理往来的信件电话，Email来回
几次后觉得这家人不错，就决定了。
在他家见面，很经典的美国家庭。门口挂经典国旗，一进门餐厅里左面经典宣传画挂着
"Jesue died for us"，右面是经典枪支爱好者的NRA的宣传画。开经典美国车福特150
，前面是"NRA Life Member"的牌子，后面是 "Carry Concealed Handgun class"的
bumper sticker，门口放着经典难看的喷泉，和同样经典难看的仙鹤雕塑。夫妻两口子
看上去60岁左右，有美国人的经典发胖，就是低头肯定看不到自己脚面那种。这就是第
一印象，觉得这两口子给人感觉太美国了。呵呵。

as a pocket knife. If it's a fixed blade, you cannot conceal it no matter
