【侨报纽约网报道】阵亡将士纪念日，又称国殇日（Memorial Day）。在美国南北
战争中，无数将士在战火中阵亡。战争结束，南部许多家庭开始祭奠战争中阵亡的将士
。他们不分南北双方，在春天向双方死者的墓地都奉献鲜花，北方人为此深受感动，将
这一举动视为民族团结的象征。1868年，5月30日这一天被正式批准为向为保卫祖国而
英勇牺牲的士兵们敬献鲜花的日子。
第一次世界大战后，人们开始在阵亡将士纪念日这一天祭奠所有的战争死难者，后
来在民间又逐渐发展为一般家庭祭奠逝去的亲人。1971年，为了让更多的人能够方便的
纪念这一天，联邦政府将其定为国家节日，并将日期定为5月的最后一个星期一。
2015年阵亡将士纪念日为5月25日星期一。在这一联邦节假日里，所有学校、银行
、邮局等机构均关门，但绝大多数餐馆、商店和旅游景点依然开放。人们常说，纪念日
长周末的到来，从传统意义上拉开了夏天的帷幕。在这样一个特殊的节假日里，大苹果

Yamaha in general sounds brighter than Kawai. It is very good for popular
music and band as it needs to stand out among those loud gittars and drums.However, people play classical music always complain about "metal" noise.
Kawai is warmer and gentle in tune (no metal noise) so it is good for classical music in general.
You dont see many classic music concert using Yamaha. Steinway is always the

he even couldn't walk properly, but he played the music so intensely.
the two hours concert was like being in heaven or some place out higher than
the earth.
several months ago, i got the luck to see Ali Akbar Khan. he is Ravi's
ex-wife's brother. Indians call both of them Ustad, which means Master.

Lang Lang’s much anticipated return to Beijing created much stir in this
ancient capital. There were three concerts scheduled --- a semi-pop concert in
which among other things he accompanied the Chinese pop singer Han Hong in a
song titled “My Motherland” (a concert which you can’t pay me enough to
attend), a concerto with the Chinese Philharmonic, and a solo recital, which
is the one I ultimately attended.

音刺耳的感觉呀。我女儿还特别喜欢弹高音，很清脆。用classical piano mode声音普
遍要比concert bright一些，也没刺耳感觉呀。可能也是我自己耳朵的问题。不过带耳
机弹感觉是要比不带耳机声音好些。当然耳机也过滤了一些外界杂音。特别能集中精力
，自我陶醉，哈哈 |

与阔别多年的崔健终于在爱特兰塔重逢。99年8月22日，崔健 （下称
CJ）在 Center Stage 举行 '99 US tour 的最后一场 concert。带给
美南沉静的午后一个摇滚狂欢节。
剧场位于市中心，有1,000个座位。大厅有啤酒出售，很有 rock concert
的意思，让人感到温暖。回想当年在祖国的岁月，摇滚音乐会
总整得象戒严部队的共和国卫士看管大牢里放风的北京暴徒似的，没
等乐队开练就让人大脑受了刺激，再让老崔的摇滚一煽，能不搓火吗！
能不急吗，能不想造反吗！估计有800多人 showed up. 大多学生
模样，很多从外地赶来。就有加州来的姐们儿对我的“赶路200里跟老
崔一块撒点儿野”的牌子表示不屑。也有挂着 cell phone, beeper 之类
标准国人卡拉 OK 里世界忙人装备的，让人琢摸是否身在北京大连。可
以看出有的人是冲着中国歌星而不是冲 CJ 或摇滚来的，看上去象第一
次来 rock concert, 上来就问有座位吗。还有带很小的孩子的，让人有
点为小孩的耳膜担心。有少数洋人 |

The way she interpret the songs with piano are so alike
so every song sounds the same.
I have watched her concert twice before. Both times with her band.
That were much, much better than her solo concert.
About 20% of audience left before encore. I even saw someone
fell asleep on her seat, 6 rows from the stage.
This is proably the best seat I ever got from ticketmaster --
Right in the middle of row 8. Unfortunately the concert is not fun.
