Galveston 海边.
ps. 离 Houston 最近的 National Park 是 8 小时车程的 Hot Springs National
Park, 在阿肯色州. 另外就是 11 小时车程 Big Bend. |

离galveston这么近可以去钓鱼钓螃蟹 坐ferry喂海鸥，去conroe lake，huntsville
camping，近点的 downtown有水族馆博物馆，hobby center看看演出什么的
不想折腾就多找找小区里面有没有其他探亲老人吧，要是ut housing的话 听说门口小
公园有很多带孩子的老人。 |

如果去那里上学估计还要搬家。有谁的小孩在TH Rogers 上学，能分享一下第一手的资
料吗？网上看的review都说学生学习成绩很好，不知道其他方面怎么样。还想用这个G/
T考试成绩申请近一点的学校，比如roberts，Horn 或者West U，不知道行不行。

发帖数: 49 | 22 从三月分搬到Woodlands 来， 看房半年多一点， 给大家大概总结一下心得：
1）选那： Woodlands新房很少，要看新房的话基本上只有三块地方： shenandoah (查
Bella Luce 那一块， 77381）， Jacobs Reserves (77384), 还有 May Valley park
(77382). 各有利弊。shenandoah 和 Jacobs Reserves 小学一般。 May Valley 我没
查过， 因为太靠里边了。 Jacobs Reserves 虽在Conroe， 但小学上ride。
废话不说。 几个最好的小学包括：Tough, Galatas, Deteritch, buckalow， Bush,
and David. 前面五个都在77382， David在77381。 刚开始我几个village都还看看，
后来就集中看77382了。里边远。woodlands不大，但traffic挺多的。Woodlands
Parkway 和 242 红绿灯多，车也堵。要是不用考虑学校，可以往外边靠靠。

不回国的，可以去 Village Creek 去玩独木舟（Canoe Trip）。下下个月可以出海钓
鱼。或者去Lake Conroe Party Boat.下下下个月准备接新生,帮助找房子，带着买菜。
每天晚上从七点开始到第二天凌晨两点，可以在中国城吃串，K歌，扎啤。 |

77388和77386有新房在建,但从小学到高中都不是很理想，不知道这两个区（一个属于
KLEIN，一个属于CONROE—）的孩子在初高中阶段有没有talent program？

最新的开发区creekside就是属于tomball isd的，高中（tomball high school）一般
，只有7分好像。Tomball还有一个新的高中Tomball Memorial high，9分，很不错，那
个附近发展的很快，不过commute到woodlands暂时不是很方便，但是grand parkway建
好以后就会很快。
我觉得如果你的预算能提到40W左右的话，可选择的房子会多很多
另外有一个很好的网站

近闯草地下高速，靠地图（那时还没有GPS)在乡间公路一通绕，在COLLEGE STATION附
近加到了油，不然没油没水没准死在45上。想想都后怕，9月的烈日下，不敢开空调，
整个45号高速变成一个超级停车场，10个小时才走了20英里。 |

增加。应该是往竞争激烈方向发展，学区政策会更偏向亚裔吧。
