小弟由于某些原因要从F2换成h1b, 最后USCIS给的结果是consulate processing 而不
是 change of status (COS), 请问接到这个通知是否马上要回国签证, 还是说可以有
grace period可以做些准备再回去.

consulate：guangzhou。俺然后又去看了140的application，发现原来律师帮我填的是
在境外申请绿卡，也就是consular processing
小弟就有两个问题了：
1.如果当排期current以后，我可以选择不用consular processing，而申请change of
status吗？这种转换容易吗？需要额外手续吗？
2.如果问题1是可以转，而且没啥麻烦，那我还可以申请EAD和AP吗？因为貌似EAD和AP
都是申请change of status递交485的时候搞的。
麻烦大家说说，另外我平时不怎么发帖，没有包子，不过我会努力存包子，给帮我的朋
友们，说到做到。 |

“Nonimmigrant Visa #” : Beijing Visa #?
“Consulate Where Visa Was Issued”: Beijing?
“Date Visa Issued”: Beijing Visa issued date? Or last H1B renew date (just
re-applied)?

Will get the visa the second day. No lines, very simple: copy of passport
and valid visa, bank statement of mine, trip plan and form fill out on the
site. It took us forty minutes to complete. |

Bad experience with Italy consulate in Los Angeles!! They are so bureaucratic.
We are planning to Italy in Thanksgiving and prepared all the documents based
on our former experiences with France, Germany and British.
First time we went there, the lady looked at our applications, then said there
was one night hotel reservation missing and where we were gonna stay. We told
her we would take a night train from Rome to Venice, then she asked for a

They are installing a new computer system which slows down the process.
when is your flight? last time I complained to the airline agency that I did
not know I needed a visa at the time of booking, and they didn't remind me
either, so the airline agency reroute my trip free of charge.
How long have you submitted your application? If it is close to 30 days,
maybe you can try to walk in. I think one man on this board is doing that

when I applied the visa, the lady said it will be ready for 1 week. But no
phone, no email to notice me to pick it up. Try to call them, no one answer.
They did not let me provide any prepaid envelope.

Name: US Embassy
When I tried to wire the money to them, the IBAN number doesn't work.
However when the postal account 30-39699-5 and the swift code POFICHBE are
used, it works. And the bank name is "Swiss post postfinance".

上传符合要求的照片，填表和预约面谈的时间。
提前在领馆的网页上http://houston.china-consulate.org/chn/zjfws/hz/t1139365.htm看清要求，准备好近照。自己拍的话，注意将背景换为白色。到http://ppt.mfa.gov.cn提交表格和预约时间。打印好材料，复印需要的证件，准备好照片。换护照和办旅行证都要预约，否则不予以办理。
办旅行证需要父母双方和孩子一起到场。
最新政策：孩子出生的时候，如果父母当时无绿卡，现在有绿卡，办理旅行证。（根据
观察，这个政策时常会变，前几个月是要求办签证，再往前一段时间则是旅行证，欢迎
大家来更新）
父母如果后来已经持有绿卡，给孩子初次办理旅行证需要的材料：电子申请表、照片3
张，美国护照原件及复印件，出生证原件及复印件，父母的护照及首页复印件，父母绿
卡的原件和复印件，父母的结婚证原件及复印件。
一点经验，希望对大家有帮助。
