发帖数: 1079 | 6 最近连吃了两张罚单，都是本州，两张ticket相隔半个月。罚款是没的逃了，但因为是
local的tickets，麻烦的是还要被记点，一张罚单被记2个点，累计6个点就会被吊销驾
照，所以就不得不到traffic court去，认罪换轻罚，交钱免点。
第一张是stop sign 没停。
那天早上，着急送孩子，离学校不到100ft的地方有个stop sign，我每天从那儿过，大
多数时间都是会停下来的，但那天太着急了，到路口左右瞄了瞄没车没人挺安全，就减
速开过去了。偏巧有警车就猫在边上，于是乎我就撞上了。这个case比较简单，到
traffic court，plead guilty 但跟judge解释说因为确信路口是clear的所以才没
停。Judge批评说stop sign 就是让你stop的，有人没人都要遵守，但鉴于perfect
driving history，所以判定免除points，但罚款必须交。我没啥可狡辩的，于是交钱
出门，$175真是肉疼！
第二张是超速 85 in 70 zone

关。比如，选了no contest 以后，可能还要你去学习defensive driving。这一般是最
便宜的，网上defensive driving大概也就驯30以内。但如果你一年内已经上过了，就
不会有这个机会了。但仍有可能选择parole，这价格贵点，而且一般要书面审请，等法
官批准。选no contest是不留record的，而且defensive driving certificate有可能
帮你拿保险的discount.
Plea guity就是认罪了。一般有人认为no contest 意味着没认罪，只是证据不足不便
出庭，但这也只是一种说法，因为no contest也不等于你就无罪。 |

楼主我觉得自己宝宝最可爱，应该拿第一，有很多winners都很可爱。但是有些winner真的是让人觉
得不服。先不说有些照片模糊不清，角度不对，根本就看不清楚宝宝的样子，最看不过
去的是那个肥大的爸爸抱着宝宝的那张照片竟然也是winner。People,难道这个不是

比如ticket背面要求出庭前5天要把一封信寄给法庭，是否在信里要先把ticket的罚款
用check附上？
我有些照片能证明我当时的ticket罚的有些冤，是否应在这封信里一并附上，并写封信
给法官？
这是我第一次想contest tickets，不知道这里的流程和需要如何做？

16mile，警察给了张250刀的罚单。我想上庭，但是由于没有证据证明自己没超速，所
以准备认罪
了。我知道plead guilty的话就是交罚单，然后再给你一次上课的机会。可是no
contest好像跟
plead guilty差不多，好像还允许你argue一下。有人知道no contest是什么意思吗？ |

请问大家是不是都是在开庭之前写一封信去plead not guilty？可是我过路口的时候的
确是变红灯了，嗯。。。是事实，相信警察那边也有记录吧。这种情况我去plead no
guilty，要是输了会不会加重处罚？
如果不写信，直接出庭，有三个选项：plead not guilty, guilty和no contest。请问
这时候再plead not guilty，与开庭之前寄封信去plead no guilty，哪个胜算可能会
比较大些？
另外这个no contest和guilty有啥差别？多谢指教～～～ |

在紧挨在left lane的紧急停车道的摩托巡警poll over，驾驶员被给了超速罚单。我在
被poll over时候松开安全带，准备协助找insurance之类的。结果cop坚持说看到我全
程没系安全带，要了驾照，给了seat belt的ciatation。140美刀，不想直接付款就下
周二上庭。请问本版大侠是否要必要开半小时车去court contest，还是直接付钱。一
般只要警察说什么，judge就信什么吧。如果这个contest输了，是不是140块之外还额
外要付court fee？
还有，这个应该不影响保险的吧。

如果要打折，就是说明要被罚，就是说明你有罪。
所以你contest的时候说这个不是自相矛盾吗？ |

发帖数: 4765 | 38 这个我来回答一下。今天早上我就去的contested hearing，不过输了，呵呵。庭上和
法官一张张看我上周末照的十三张照片，研究情况花了十几分钟。最后法官犹豫后还是
判了Redmond赢。
如果是criminal case，应该就是赢的。没关系，出来依然灌水。
一般说来，警察有51%的话语权，所以基本上都是必输无疑。但重新选择我还会选
contested。狗熊的人生不是精彩的人生，也不是我的风格。
我觉得你的情况不容易的原因如下：
黄灯下要有judgement，如果危险应该停车。一般黄灯都设计你看到后有足够时间停，
并且后轮过线。所以红灯前轮踩线有两种可能：
１. 开太快，停不下来。就是说你超速了。
２. 正常速度。就是说你刚刚承认了他们告你的。
一般说，和法庭argue你没做是徒劳的。所有完胜的案子都是找其它的理由。不然就是
能少罚点就少点。
如果能你defer（我能，但没有选），可以defer。或者当庭看了警察的报告，或者录像
后觉得没胜算，可以再改。少交点钱出来。
