假定401K长期每年投资收益和你付给自己401K的利息差不多。不考虑opportunity cost.
你从401K岱10K 30年， 付利息10K。这个10K利息被征调1/3税，你知付出了了$3333给
其他人（这里是政府IRS）
如果你从银行10K 30年， 付利息10K。会退税给你1/3，你知付出了$10000-$3333=$
6666给其他人（银行10000 + IRS -3333）。
美国的很多理论忽悠人的，欺负数学上不懂得光大民众。如果忽悠不了，就弄得极其复
杂，只有极少数几个创造出这个理论框架的人才知道是干啥的。
基本上就是convience you or confuse you.真正不行了，如果不起作用，就直接颁布
法律来制定框架。

1. 明确知道自己需要和签证官面谈或者担心可能会需要面谈的，还是不管怎样都电话
约一个尽可能早的方便的时间面谈
吧。万一真被从使馆赶出来，还能直接去对面的中信递材料不耽误事情。
2. 以前的签证上写有CHECK CLEARANCED的，中信递签也必须面谈，面谈时间不是网页
上说的at your convience,而是
固定的大概是交表那天一周后某个中午12点半。这个日子是相对交表日固定的，不能前
后挪动的。
3. 最快拿到签证的方式还是留在巨鹿路邮局自取。 我6号面谈，9号（周六）朋友通知
我拿到了护照的。
4. 记得看I-20是不是和护照一起寄来了。 如果和我一样衰，只收到护照没有I-20，最
好的方法大概是使馆工作时间拿着
护照直接去使馆找工作人员。他们大概花了20-30分钟，总算是把I-20给我翻了出来。
开始流水账：
12.28中信递签，被告知要1.4面谈。因为4号有事，只能改成29号再去中信交材料，相
应的变成6号中午12点半面谈。 6
号中午面谈，9号上海的朋友通知我已经帮我到邮局取了护照。 可惜事后发现只有护
照没有I-20，11号（周一）再去使馆

房子如红圈所示。所在的区比较安全，基本上白人+中国人+印度人。
隔南边两个房子是大马路。大马路的南边是个小shopping mall：VONS+小的美国吃饭店，没有其他什么大的shopping店。 主要是小区附近的convience mall，基本上就是马路南边的那几个建筑物。
南边的大马路上的车流比较多，房子的后院比较吵，限速是45mph,正好有个坡度和stop牌，车子经常加速减速。房子比南边的大妈路高，所以很吵。尤其是上下班的时候。

By the way, Indian's English is not as good as we think. My American friends
said they sometimes can't catch them for they accent. Our's accent is
earier to be understood. But, we need more guts to say, to communicate, to
be as aggressive as indian guys.

在三个不同的医院里做了一个多月的OB，之前有这种想法，通过ob坚定自己的想法，写
ps，反复改，找同事推敲，彻彻底底把故事讲清楚就足够了，不要把自己的cv放在里面
重复一遍，就丧失了cs的作用
你将来在选program？ research track？ 我收到好几个research track的 offer，大
部分的research track，让你的第三年，第四年做elective。 即使进了某一个track，
也不是板上钉钉的事情，可以换。
lili，我申请了两个专业，写了两个ps，其实前后都差不多，中间有一段我对病理理解
什么样，不要写的很复杂，很奇怪，写的简单一点，把故事讲清楚，人家能明白，ps
别人花五到十分钟就已经很不错了，我就是从头到尾，对临床的理解。 你要是想申请
不同的专业，要写不同的ps，有人甚至针对不同的医院。中间找地方冲突一下。 ps里

对于维护版面争论不变成攻击比较重要。
如果瓜哥出来竞选，我首选支持他,尽管他的立场和你的很不同。但是，目前，也就你

分）。
从enjoylifexu哪儿知道这个id，扫了文章，看到有立场鲜明的“黑”，但是看到所有
的帖子基本上是针对事情，不乱扣人帽子，而是试图convience人。这个和其他“黑”
很不同。
