Coolidge Corner
位于波士顿最安全、最安静和口碑最好的街区，这些你可以问任何一个波士顿居民。这里
5分钟内步行可到绿线B（babcock）和C-line （Coolidge Corner），公车66路、57路
都可以到达，出行极其方便，可以步行到MIT,BU, Harvard Medical School。有人说过
“没有到过Coolidge Corner就不算到过Boston。”
88超市、全美有名的Trade Joe以及shaws等超市，餐厅、邮局、购物、公车、银行全都
在附近五分
钟脚程内。生活极其便利。
房屋状况：
入门是客厅。有两间卧室、拟租房间采光很好，宽敞明亮。
地下一楼有laundry room。房间很大；厨房、浴室、储藏室与室友共享。提供书桌、床
、椅子等所有家具。厨房冰箱，微波炉，烤箱等都有。
日期：
随时入住，租期可议，但至少4个月，需先押一个月租金（可商量）。
理想合租对象：
由于拟租房间空间，希望未来室友是成熟、懂事、不给别人带麻烦、懂得与室友互相沟
通配合、安静、整洁、自爱，最好是女性。当然，也不准抽烟、不准喝酒、不准吸毒、
不准带宠物 |

发帖数: 1203 | 40 belmont肯定不如brookline交通方便是真的了，如果小孩上小学的话，brookline的
Pierce小学是10分，剩下的也都是9分，关键是犹太人区还有hms一帮professor家的小
朋友，学校抓的紧，9分也跟10分没差了。belmont也不错，但是楼主要是downtown上班
并且不能开车的话，就不方便了。不过2个town华人都很多，住brookline的话还有就是
要舒服犹太人，如果不是很喜欢犹太人的话就不要选择住了。对了，租金的话
brookline肯定要大于belmont，因为别的不说，离城里近这一点，就值不少钱。
2bedroom的brookline要2000+甚至2500，belmont的话估计能稍微便宜点点。belmont有
公交车到cambridge，但是好像没法直接到boston这边的城里。
brookline租房子如果住在brookline东边靠城里的那片的话，也就是说coolidge
corner往东那带的话，可以走路到backbay，coolidge corner附近有trader joe，stop

最近我与我的朋友Steve Nadis写了一本关于哈佛大学数学系历史的书， 由哈佛大学出
版社出版。
这个写作计划开始时，我还是哈佛数学系主任。我对于这个系伟大先驱者的人生颇感好
奇。因为其中有些人藉着他个人的研究甚或透过他们的学生，改变了整个世界数学发展
的路径。
如果其他地方的人，能懂得欣赏这些数学家如何做研究，如何建立起这个优秀的学系，
而且在这段过程裡，还协助建立了哈佛大学的地位，我认为这会是很棒的事。更何况，
这些伟大哈佛数学家的个人轶事，读来也饶有兴味。
我喜欢阅读数学史，认为好数学家需要知道数学的重要概念如何演进。这些概念的演进
充满了生命力，就像从初生婴儿慢慢长大成人的过 程，这段路可能很戏剧化，而且充
满了兴奋与刺激。一旦我们了解数学发展的根源，就更能理解当今数学的发展。我相信
，哈佛数学系从 一个三流学系成长为世界级领导中心的过程， 提供了很值得参考的个
案，或许可以协助许多想建立世界级数学系的大学做为借鑑。我非常感谢我的合着者

Corner站。位置好，环境好，很安全。周围有中国超市Super88，StopShop, 各种小饭
馆、小店及公交线，生活非常便利。步行20分钟可到Harvard Medical School，BCH，
BI，Dana Farber等研究所，很适合在这边做研究或读书的学生学者。房子是独立的一
室一厅，带一个厨房和一个卫生室，室和厅都可以放下双人床，很适合带小孩子的夫妻
或朋友合租。
房租1600元每月，现因前房客提前回国需要转租，租期从4月10日开始，到8月31日结束
。房租包括了水费和取暖费，自己只需付电费（每月几十元）即可。平时房子各种设施
出现问题都会有人来免费维修，省心又省钱。房子本身不带家具，前房客有一些家具，
