R*****s 发帖数: 41236 | 3 haha, thank God, we race for time, not for toughness....
also, I respect ppl who runs more, rather than speaks more....

w****1 发帖数: 4931 | 5 It just happens that the four NYC people I mentioned rarely speak on this
board any more. On the other hand,
you and me talk MUCH MORE. No disrespect to your mileage, but a mile in
central park is tougher than a mile
on the treadmill, and a 6:10 mile in a 10K race is tougher than a 7:00 mile
in a tempo run. Not all miles are
the same. Actually, we do race for toughness. Well, not sure about you, I
certainly do. Distance running races
are gut races. |

不需要把马拉松神话了, not a big deal for me...

。你如果不喜欢我回你贴, 我可以不回, just let me know...

in your brain, and somehow manage to tie it to your beliefs regardless of
whether they are logically connected

something I said while you are actually

w****1 发帖数: 4931 | 21 I don't give a crap if you agree with my views, and I certainly couldn't
care less what you think of me. However,
when you try to distort what I said or put words in my mouth just to make an
argument for your beliefs, as you
are still doing right now, that is an insult to me. The kind of trick you
are playing could be used to win an
argument against an 8-yr old, but you won't get away with it arguing against
adults with common senses. |

I dont want to win anybody, win any arguement.
你喜欢compitition, 喜欢win, it's fine.
每个人都有发表不同意见的权利, that's my only point..
now you totally lost it。。
|
w****1 发帖数: 4931 | 25 You have a serious insecurity problem, and you seem to be allergic to the
word "win". When most of us speak
of someone else being tough, we look for inspiration. You, on the other hand
, somehow feel that we are
criticizing you for not being tough and feel the need to defend yourself. Seriously?
And hey, this is not the first time that you think I'm talking about you when my comments had nothing to do
with you to begin with. |

NEW YORK (AP)—World-record holder Haile Gebrselassie stunned the running
world by announcing his retirement Sunday after dropping out of the New York
City Marathon.
The 37-year-old Ethiopian great, widely considered the greatest distance
runner ever, pulled out at the 16-mile mark with a right knee injury.
“I never think about to retire. But for the first time, this is the day,”
