LOS ANGELES (AP) — Four teenagers pleaded not guilty Tuesday to murder
charges in the fatal beating of a Chinese graduate student at the University
of Southern California.
According to prosecutors, Jonathan Del Carmen, 19, and Andrew Garcia, 18,
Alberto Ochoa, 17, and Alejandra Guerrero, 16, fatally attacked USC
engineering student Xinran Ji at around 1 a.m. on July 24, 2014.

时就hearing，一般会减轻处罚；如果坚持无罪，当时就预约下次出庭时间。我以为今天
会是这个程序，本来没有打算好好组织一下理由，想预约下次出庭来着。可是今天的经历
完全不一样。幸好有准备。
提前半小时到了。经过安检门。在布告栏上找到了我的名字。今天就开一个courtroom，
和我一批的有6人，有酒后开车的，有无证开车的，有超速的，还有打架的。等着想看录
像呢，左等右等，等不到；西服革履的人来来往往，有的一来就把和我一样等着的人叫到
会议室里密谈，大概是律师。这个架势让我有点慌。
1点20进法庭。和电视电影里一样。进门就是四排椅子，厚厚的木椅，我在中间坐下。正
中一大大的台子，法官座位后面两边插着美国国旗和象征司法部门的起子。中间空地有两

贺梅回到孟菲斯（Memphis），将在此渡暑假。
周五（7月1日）12岁的贺梅抵达孟菲斯，她与她的弟弟安迪（Andy）及妹妹艾维塔（
Avita）同行，而贺梅父母因为没有护照所以没有同行。
当年扶养贺梅9年的贝克夫妇被允许在飞机出口外迎接他们三人，而贝克夫妇其他亲友
则在出口处等候。
