可以试一下这家公司，
Medpace (在Cincinnati)
我有朋友在里面做，
公司近几年壮大的很快。
硕士statistical analyst，
我知道好几个进去的都基本没啥经验,
H1b，绿卡都好像没问题。
不过不会有太多的opening，
可能就是1-2个样子。
周围的其他机会不算很多，
但也有Kendle, UnitedHealth之类的CRO, 加上P&G和J&J的部门。 |

the CROs provide statistical services. The larger ones usually recruit new
grads. They post their positions to Monster.com etc., and you can find them
at job fairs. But it may be easier to apply via head-hunters or internal

但是以前和一个在这行做久的老美聊过，他说药厂的clinical trial迟早会完全外包给
CRO的

发帖数: 7643 | 12 要说怕lay off这年头Quitiles或PPD的统计部门大概比不少药厂还稳定，更别说跟药厂
的contractor比了。但是Consulting firm如果靠谱的话办身份反而比CRO快，而且一般
来说一个term之后有经验了再卖你出去不难，还不影响你办身份。问题是下面你不定得
搬到哪里去，所以做contractor还要考虑对你的家庭的影响。- 我只是借题说说我认为
的一般规律，可能不准确，何况万事皆有例外，具体的情况你自己更了解。祝好运！ |

Chicago? BMS? Abbott? 我觉得你这是一个 full time vs. contractor 的问题。
contractor总不是长久之计，而且总是client的边缘人士。如果去药厂，转成full-
time的几率多大？
看起来楼主不太在意location，也没啥家庭因素要考虑。那还是看具体的工作内容吧，
从你自己的职业生涯角度考虑。

这两个地方pay得差不多？
我原以为chicago会多不少。
推荐去北卡，
大CRO估计还有些其他的office，
方便将来内部relocation。
即使有大药厂情节，
攒点经验再找就是。 |

问题的话，phonescreen都会问你的背景和status
Onsite的话估计就是一些sas的问题
主要是proc report |

and guidance. Pharmaceutical industry is a highly regulated industry. When
it comes to potential violations to GCPs by untrained personnel, it is an
issue much severe than the person’s salary. Even a small CRO won’t take a
risk authorizing volunteers to access the docs/DBs. |

biostatistician, SR LEVEL 比如principal biostatistician，etc.各种level如果有
headcount就会找人，包括fresh phd。 fresh phd做的东西很多，比如review CRF,写
SAP，table shells, review outputs, 等等。 跟CRO差不多。经验积累很重要。

regard before the novice can smoothly fit into the position?
I would not assume adaptive design and Bayesian stuff are necessary for
Master's level statisticians. In big pharma they have Ph.D. level
statisticians who are in charge of that. |

信息，可以提供SAS Programmer职位。如果要参加SAS培训的话，要交800多刀的培训费
上4-6周的课程；也可以不参加培训直接上岗。公司会提供包括医疗，社保等在内的福
利，明年四月还有可能帮助申请H1B。如果去外包公司工作需要recolation的话，会有
额外的补助。因为最近刚开始找工作，接到这种电话心里不是很有底，不知道会不会存
在受骗上当的可能。 再者就是不知道这对以后的工作发展是不是有好处。这种公司算
是大家说的CRO吗？诚恳询问大家意见，谢谢！ |
