system runs very slow. (sometimes after a few minutes use, sometime almost
right after power on)
I tried to isolate every possibility I know:
replace HD to SDD,
defrag and clean HD,
increase RAM to 8G (2x4G)
uninstall all unnecessary software,
removing virus (none) and malware (a few),
replaced CPU from i3 2310m to i7 2620m
It is still very slow.
I finally downloaded HWmonitor and found out the culprit might be the CPU

also run a diagnosis on your drives, if the office system files are stored

disappointingly, reading/writing files to that drive is unbelievably slow.
I was only able to get 1-2MB/s! tried both windows (AC) and Linux (5.0GHz)
client, same thing.
when I connect my drive to a laptop's USB 3 port, I could get over 100 MB/s
data transfer speed, so I am pretty sure the culprit was on the router side.

Here was what I did. it might not be the best approach.
1.carefully check the logics for culprit. if failed,
2.then run the loop a couple of times and check all the major lines for
possible offenders. if still failed,
3.use bisect method to cut the number of loop times for each check. very
tedious... if still failed.
4.leave it alone and pray... |

or the video (it's an SLI) is the culprit. I had three XPS (420, 630, 1330
) so far, what a nightmare on each and everyone of them! Text install is
okay, but can't boot to GUI. |
