最近翻出阿西莫夫作品全集来重看,真挺有意思的,不仅囊括了他最早期那些名不见经
传的短篇,还有自己写的“创作感想”。看到TRENDS那一篇,居然发现他在1938年(当
时他还在读大学)成功预测成两件事:1)1940年第二次世界大战,2)1970年,人类登
月。
两件事都只差1年而已!
我一直觉得那个SF黄金时期的创作高峰,后来者很难翻越……

I'm an outsider but my feeling is that you don't seem to have particular
interest in the subject you're studying, or at least, you didn't show such
strong intereste from your statement. Probably you're a good student, but
make sure you also have a curious mind and are paying attention to details and things other people tend to ignore.
Though I have no related experience, I believe good ideas come from a curious mind. If you don't know what you want to say to your professor, probably you haven't

儿子的表达能力,已经到了让我吐血的地步。
首先,能不说的就不说。一问三不知是常事。甚至早上有没有snack这类问题,都说不
知道。
第二,能用一个字回答就不用两个字。比如,今天几个人serve snack啊?答,三。
第三,完全没有逻辑可言。比如,问今天体育课玩什么了呢?答,有个板凳是curvy的
。这什么跟什么啊?比如,读curious george那本the man with the yellow hat 把它
从Africa带去zoo的。问他故事,他说,curious george played with the phone and
was put in the jail。这也太管窥了吧!
像这样的例子实在太多了。
任何事情,到他那里,就没了事情本身,只有一个小细节。然后还说的颠三倒四的。这
是好的时候,大部分时候连说都不说。
我发誓,我们一直都随他。有时候一百八十个问题之后了解了情况,会重新理解一下,
总结一下给他听。

Errors in text
It is curious that a respected medical journal would publish this discussion
of GM food and other GM products (JRSM 2008;101:290–298) without at least
some oversight related to the validity of the content.1 I view the promotion
of GM food as directly analogous to the promotion of a new pharmaceutical
product without any testing for safety.
