in the definition from wiki, this fish is called as daidaoyu.
Calling it 'daoyu' is not my definition. It is from the people living in
most of southern part of China.
I don't think it doesn't make sense to call it 'daoyu.'
In Guangxi, people call it 秋刀鱼. but this is definitely wrong. |

It seems like a saltwater fish, doesn't it?
and it doesn't have a sharp bone. it has no 'knife'.
The fish in my post really really has a very sharp knife,
which can cut your finger into two pieces without doubt.
I bet most of us here didn't see this kind of fish.
So they feel strange when I call it "daoyu." |
