GF的原因是他的gre和toefl成绩太低，并把的toefl成绩当成了500（实际是600）。当时
回了一封信给予纠正，并请他们reconsider一下。虽然这样还是感到相当难受，希望渺茫
(专业排名不错），也没告诉GF,可她居然发现下面的帖子是我贴的，尽管我用的是新帐号
。陪她难过了一个晚上。今早再打电话给她，她居然想的很开，竟劝起我来了：）。刚才
抱着0希望再查一次邮件，oh, man，居然给admission了，高兴的我一下子就跳了起来，
手碰了天花板，然后跑到楼上想找人庆祝一下，可没见一个人影，呵呵。。。
现在有了另一个问题，因为我们都预约好携签了，我想gf最好不用f-1签（她没有奖学金
，不好签证），那她过来后可以直接先以f-2的身份像f-1一样读书，然后再转成f-1吗？
系里叫赶紧办I-20(他们还不知道我已经帮gf办好f-2了），怎么跟学校说？另外，databa

这么说来他们的servcie b + merge process 就是要把oracle 存个snapshot到s3，的
确像是个backup，但这之前因该有不同的clients 用这个数据，他提到了
“a little bit more background, in the past (before 2012) service_b
read all entities, not just updated ones by service_a in the past 4 hours to
create a complete snapshot of all entities for various clients.”

以前说cs phd毕业后大多当faculty，或者到research lab。
又有人说不是这样。
那么这些phd毕业后如果没有当faculty，也没到大公司作research，都干什么去了？
我自己就是在读cs的phd。如果是对master的话，毕业后可以想办法作普通的programmer
，或者做系统的administrator都可以吧，entry/intermedia都可以。
但是phd呢？很多人都说到一个over
qualify的问题，例如你一个phd去找普通programmer的位置恐怕就很不可能。
那么fresh phd去找高级一些的职位，比如什么senior architecturer之类的，那样子的
有吗？我知道其实大多数phd做的东西都是完全的research，跟industry的联系不大。例

not work on mine. My suggestion is to install Developer 2000 1.X(1.3 or 1.6)
and Oracle7. These two will work together.
It seems that ODBC dirve for Oracle8 can not be properly installed.
Even though the database itself works properly, the ODBC driver does not.
You can not create valid DNS for Personal Oracle8, since the ODBC drive

Wisc-Maddison( Iguess it is the best one, :-)), Maryland, Berkeley( I think what

do is highly practical, not like Stanford, doing sth rather impractical, or ,

U. of Columbia, ...

有程序不停的运行去抓这个Email，then load data into their databaes.
Or the program just goes to third party's server to get the infomation
automatically. Anyway there should be some automatic procedure .
Info exachage by XML format for example should be easy to be handled by
program. |

这年头做个最简单的WEB BASED的APP，比如说一个交友网站，刚开始周末下班做，每周
也就20多小时。要做需求分析，FEATURE 分析，DATABAE SCHEMA设计，中间BIZ LOGIC
，前端UI。然后买域名，设置AWS,真是GO PUB前肯定要去成了个有限责任公司，自己想
好以后股权结构。三个月出产品，神啊。还没讲MOBILE端的开发，这年头一定要有
MOBILE端口。
除非你说的产品是PROTOTYPE，否则一个可以推广出去用的产品，三个月怎么可能做出
来，而且你又不可能方方面面都懂，很多技术上的还得自学。 |

should be in your scope. But from what I see, you are good enough to fit the
intern position.
