楼主在纠结要不要读security方面的PhD吗:-) 工业界一般来说比较讲究市场效果。如

比较好的idea，并且有信心很有市场，那就赶快去工业界实现自己的创业梦吧，晚了就
让别人
抢先了。
你喜欢数论，密码学实际上正好符合你的兴趣。但是你又纠结密码学不是security，对
吗:-)
计算机安全是一个很笼统的术语。如果一个人告诉你他是搞计算机安全的，实际上就跟
他告诉
你他是一个医生差不多。医生是给人治病的，医生有内科、外科、五官科、皮肤科等等
。搞计
算机安全的是给计算机“治病”的，所以具体来分，有CPU加密、secure e-card,
biometric
authentication，encryption/decryption, privacy protection，intrusion
detection,
formal method, secure coding。 |

Some one just cracked DVD CSS authentication.
But I couldn't get the right disk key.
Each time I ran the program, I got a different
disk key. That key is needed to be able to
decrypt scrambled titles.
Not that I can copy encrpted VOB files
from a disc to hard drive. But that's useless
unless the disc key can be retrieved. |

Equivalent Privacy Protocol.
It presents 4 improvement on recovering WEP key. the author acclaims that it
can reduce pkts needed for 128-bit key from 6million to about 1million. Those
four improvements are:
1. Test all IVs i/o only weak IVs. Which is (S[1]>|CurrentKeyGuess|+1 and
S[1]+S[S[1]]=|CurrentKeyGuess|+1
2. testing if the WEP checksum on a decrypted packet turned out correctly (I

Most encryption/decryption scheme is on application level,
including https. If it's done on lower level, you'll need
a special hardware device and/or special software just to
do communication.
And no, Gmail doesn't treat other ISPs differently, at least
not for email transportation. They can understand each other
because they all talk SMTP, simple mail transfer protocol.

只能deploy。 一般我都是写一些SQLCLR的 stored procedure, deploy的时候就给DBA
2个assembly dll, 叫他们先加到sql server,再从dll上建 stored procedure. 这
样DBA想看我们的encrypt/decrypt的逻辑也看不到。 一般来说DBA只管理和rotate sql
server 上的 certificate 和 symmetric keys, developer掌握着加密和解密的原理。

我想这column一定是加密了，要如何才能看到真实的password是多少。
我想是不是用DecryptByKey去找到我想要的。可是我看了sys.dm_database_encryption
_keys table和sys.symmetric_keys table， 全是空的。
我不知道是permission的问题呢，还是我的思路有问题。 哪位大神给点提示。谢谢 |
