其中demolition是找清理公司做的花了两千
labor，因为用licensed plumber，总共是六千，电线的rough in还是自己扯的。
橱柜包括台面是一万六不到一点点。
appliances是八千
木地板两千不到
还有七七八八的建材
三百英尺左右的厨房。这是俺当年第一个renovation project，demolition如果自己租
dumpster全部自己弄，然后不要找licensed plumber，而是自己画Plumbing riser
diagram，可以省下来三千。但是三万三是怎么都要的。
安装中档标准翻新的。找general contractor要价是七万不包appliance...

你家斜对面的房子也没拆地基。不知道不拆地基的Demolition的Permit会不会简单些。
听说不拆地基改不了房子的建造年代。你们干脆把地基也拆了盖个全新的，住得更舒服。
另外盖新房30一40万不够吧，虽然你们自己当Builder省了中间费用，但要盖个质量好
的，也得50一60万吧? 加上给Builder的赢利，得60一70万了。可能请中国人做会便宜
很多。 |

我们家从今年初知道怀孕了就想把一层楼的房子扩建成两层楼。我老公做过很多扩建的
项目，所以就打算自己盖。没想到和城建部门的问题不断，现在被逼无奈只好向城里的
Selectmen 上诉.
首先他画的设计图不被城建部门接受，也没有具体原因。他以前自己画设计图交到
Boston,Quincy,Lexington申请Permit都没有问题。为了尽快申请到Permit,我们就只好
请有执照的人重新画房屋结构图并盖章。这样才递交了申请。
城建部门的网站上说Permit处理时间是1-2星期，可是我们申请递交以后两个月没有任
何消息。我老公只好天天催问情况。直到上诉到城建部门的Assistant Director 才有
回应。他们说我们预算太低，应该37万5，可是我们觉得太多。因为Permit申请费和预
算是成比例的，就采取了一个折衷的方案，先按照城建部门的预算交申请费，房子扩建
以后再拿具体的费用收据要回多交的申请费。这样才终于拿到了Permit。
