铁和acrylic, 我的保险是 CIGNA PPO， 结果牙医的秘书给报价总价 $ 1050 左右，
一半 out of pocket， 是不是太贵了，记得若干年前在国内做的一个才125 人民币左
右，就算考虑物价上涨因素，差的也太多了吧。
大家有没有什么经验？ 有没有什么不错的牙医帮忙推荐一下，谢谢！ |

最想做implant，但是要先做bone graft，还不一定能成功。
另外一个选择是３ unit bridge，但是旁边的牙也不太牢，担心把旁边的牙磨掉一圈，
没几年这三个牙全掉了。
还有就是flexible partial denture。
这个flexible partial denture有没有人做过，会不会影响旁边的牙？
还想知道bone graft 是不是要拔完牙马上做，还是可以先用flexible partial
denture一两年，再去试bone graft 和implant

我的上颚特别浅，浅到每次吃冰淇淋都会沾到，冷得连头顶都是辣辣地痛。所以，我开
始用Denture的时候，一用力就会断裂，里面放了丝网，甚至铁片都没有用。换过几个
做Denture的Shop，中洋都有，居然都没有办法。
有一次我在出差途中，又断成两半。紧急中，去当地的HOMEDEPOT买了一把电钻和最小的
钻头。回旅馆，每一块沿着断裂的边缘钻上洞，然后用随身带的针和线，把两块缝了起
来。
从此以后，我就一直用这断裂的Denture,却没有“断裂”的烦恼。 |

2. 看牙咋省钱？
有保险的考虑适当拖延。到下一年可以用新报销额度。
自费买dental insurance：一般premium几百/年，一年最多报销两千，外加
waiting period，所以不一定合算。临时报佛脚的情况就不要考虑了。
dental discount plan：在参加计划的诊所可以立刻打折。比如Aetna Advantage Dental。
收入确实低的，在本地找免费或low cost诊所。这些地方可能有eligibility要求，很多只提供有限服务。
去附近的dental school clinic，给学生做小白鼠。
自己跟牙医去讨价：前提是在看病以前讨，不要狮子大开口。
多问问题：有无非完善但廉价的其他治疗方案、哪步不一定做、是否去征求second opinion...

具体是哪种?这有好几种,有implant($3000 each), bridge和denture.bridge就是
在两颗牙中间缺牙,把前后两颗牙的釉质打掉,然后做个三联的牙冠装上,一般寿命
至少可以到20年甚至终生.denture就是假牙. |

软件，用dental ct重建三维图像，很多开源软件都能做，比如ITK
区别是如何从3D imaging到denture或者crown,这步美国很多诊所没in house的3D CNC
，但中国有，美国一般是送到瑞士加工，然后再空运回来的。
所以还是有差距的。 |

care，看病等候时间），免费手机免费座机，免费shuttle service.
我只知道加州的。medi-cal是州政府财政支持，中国人俗称白卡。接受白卡的医生很少
，如果满了就面临找说中国话家庭医生的难题，需要儿女开车很久。找说英语的家庭医
生没问题。做MRI这种等候时间很久，转specialist等候也很久，必须用有自费部分的
medi-care才真正做到看病不等候。现在白卡的助听器很差而且极少有医生接受白卡，
查听力管但需要医生接受白卡。home care没问题，这种服务很多。老年公寓等候和每
个county有关，中国人聚居的地方现在只能去很远的老年公寓。老年公寓食品充足，根
本吃不完（其实是我感觉老人食量有限）.
补充一点牙: 白卡medi-dental包括项目很有限而且牙齿经常要操作，压低成本的后果
就是压缩包括消毒的一切成本。不想为了一点钱去便宜诊所染上肝炎，所以本家老人是

long time before it broke off.
So depending on how much root left, you may have the following choices.
1. Sufficient root structure left
no pulp involved, on pain history--crown only $ 500-800
pulp involved---Root Canal Treatment+ Post&Core+ Crown $ 1500-2000
2. No sufficient root structure left--then Extraction of the root+ denture

首先控制牙周病的发展。之后考虑拔除过于松动的牙齿。种植牙可在拔牙后2-3个月手
术，也可拔牙后立即手术植入种植体。但根据你所提供的情况，不容乐观，成功率不一
定很高。
flexible partial denture确实有可能影响旁边的基牙，但好处是磨除正常牙体组织少。
但不管后两种哪种修复方式，都得等拔除牙齿3个月后才能做，期间你可做牙周的治疗

的。我现在准备再去看个医生，get a second opinion. 一颗就这么多钱了，无论如何
我都不想连累其他，所以我不想要
denture，除非临时的。因为我上网看拔了种骨可能要等半年左右才能植牙，我的在门
牙旁边的一颗，所以我觉得我怎么样

It can be a mixture of reasons. Was the wisdom tooth impacted? Was the
next molar relatively healthy (no infection or large cavity)? Any
periodontal disease in that area?
Short of an implant (which drives an artificial root down), a denture
replacement will need to be fixed onto the prev tooth/teeth: |

prescription rinse, not chewing using the area)?
2. It's possible for bone grafts to fail, and it may be impossible to tell
beforehand. If you doubt the dentist, get a second opinion though.

implants without successful grafting. The alternative would be denture or
