发帖数: 1978 | 1 knight内部有最起码两个desk，表面上的market making是flow desk，他们内部还有用
flow desk的存货做prop trading的desk。最近听说他们招了好些account manager，但
是招进去以后发现根本没所谓的account.
另外，一般的flow desk，虽然会按market maker obligation在市场上挂单，但是都基
本上没可能打到的单。如果他们是狂放order的话，或者有大的flow进来，或者有大的
货要清仓，trader没可能不知道。他们market making的数学model，虽然很可能对小股
票会出现singular output，但是那么大的量，做了30分钟才停，完全不可能是。
knight的问题，从他们09年高层分裂开始就开始比较明显了，flow这一块，从08年
retail flow渐渐消失以后，日子是越来越难过。 哪怕是knight / citadel / citi-
bank / e-trade / Barclay 这前五大，都是相互割肉抢flow。citi-bank / e-trade /

媒体报道了。了解IBD的都知道这是个P大的事，无非就是个无伤大雅的玩笑。但也反映
出来者人吧真是贱，自己已开始被各种不合理的规则虐着，慢慢的习惯了，还特么

我的485RD是4.29。6.10才收到FP通知，预约的FP时间是 6.26. 我6.12下午三点到
USCIS要walk in , 被门口的门卫告知虽然里面窗口还在办公，但是外面的
information desk 已经关了，所以没有人决定我是否可以进去，但是我可以次日早上8
点去看看。但是当时我工作比较忙， 眼看离预约只差两个星期就到预约时间了就没再
试了。6.17那天早上， 收到家里信息，奶奶突然病重，我就和LG决定当天上午再去试
试walk in FP，想着可能会加快485进程。当天8点去的，门卫和information desk就看
我有schedule letter，都没看我本来schedule的是哪一天就让我进去了。 进去之后窗
口工作人员告知我本来不应该是这天来的， 我解释说是因为family emergency所以想

其实RISK，象DESK CREDIT RISK，DESK LIQUIDITY RISK都是FRONT DESK。
真正是不是FRONT DESK， 其实看COST CENTER和BONUS POOL 就知道了。 FRONT DESK
ANALYST一般和TRADER 是一个BONUS POOL的。
我原本也没想打击LZ，其实是好心说一下，亚男机会很少，亚男优秀的又那么多，前台
没什么了不起，但歧视挺严重的，PHD不PHD的，进前台不是关键。 |

，是国航承运的。
在美国登机时就发现了问题，行李只能到仁川。机票不包括旅馆。
到仁川下了飞机，噩梦就来了。韩国人的混乱和有礼貌混合在一起，我被折腾来折腾去
，最后精疲力竭。下飞机我问了韩亚两个Information的女的，她们说可以Reschedule
我的行李，并把我指到了一个Transfer Desk。Transfer Desk没有人，我等啊等，最后
看着人就问，有一个人对着Remote讲了几句韩语，后来来了一个工作人员。她把我指到
了四楼的Transfer Desk。我没有Boarding Pass，跟安检的人说了情况，最后还是顺利
过了安检到了四楼的Transfer Desk。那里是一个小伙子，打了几通电话，最后怎么说
都是不行，说我得去取行李，入境，第二天重新在国航Check In。我没招了，就走吧，
但是怎么出去成了问题，他给我指的电梯我坐了，最后发现那里出不去，没找到海关。
我于是准备反向闯安检的地方，填了表，从新安检，安检的人给我开了个小门放我出来
了。最后过移民关，去取行李。由于几个小时过去 |

本来今天计划的很好，出门看病，回来时候去walmart买卫生巾。结果今天一大早就没
有好运气。Bloomingdales加到cart里checkout 时候没有了，没买成，安慰自己说省钱
了。结果出门看医生丢了钱包，悲催的连中午买饭的钱都没有，卫生巾今天用了最后一
块，需要买也没钱。来美国10多年了，我的钱包里基本没有现金，最多20刀。可是今天
的钱包中有将近1000刀现金。最奇怪的是我无论如何想不通我的钱包到底丢在哪里了。
钱包很大，里面装了我所有的卡。
自从遭遇小三和老公出轨已经4年多了，一直都没有走出来。7月份因为一些事情我又一
次陷入了depression，一个月的时间不与外界交流，躲在家里无穷无尽的看电视，每天
只吃一顿饭，手里的工作也停滞不前。一个月以前我觉得不能再这样下去了，约了心理

adopted desk-rejection policy. Not only those top general interest journal,
but also many top field journals, such as JpubE, JDE. JHR even desk-reject
68% of papers. It becomes more and more difficult to publish a paper in a
decent journal for those lower ranked monkey and phd students after we have
this policy and google search.
For a desk-rejection at JPE, at least it is quick,and they refund the $125.

problem even if the qunats are not on the same floor as the traders. The
couple sell side shop I worked at places desk quants on trading desk and
have IT rotations on desks too. It is hard enough to communicate with the
traders to understand the problem and deliver a solution. Impossible if one
has to talk on phone, forget about it if you are in a different time zone.

right now, a trading desk in say Goldman Sachs is backed by the full faith
of GS. as long as GS is not in bankruptcy, it has to honor the contract the
desk traded, in profit or in loss.
when spun off, the desk will not have any access to GS capital beyond the
extend of what GS spun off. so GS did not need to use any of its capital if
the spun off desk incurred trading loss.
There might be some negative consequencies:

's less likely to have such a position in IB than in HF.
When they all say they work directly with trading desk, they might have said
the truth but the problem is whether you got the chance to talk with the
traders or not. And even if you got the chance to deal with traders directly
, being on the trading desk or not is a big difference.
What differentiates front desk from middle office IT is whether the user of
