传送带处忘了一个背包，内有电脑等重要物品，回到家才发现。立即打电话问机场失物
招领和国航柜台都没找到，第二天在打电话还是没有消息，第三天亲自跑到机场找到了。
一下是我的具体过程：
1. 发email给lost and found，他们很快回复，登记在案。
2. 报告警察在机场丢失东西，警察会记录详细情况，给一个case number.
3.到terminal E information desk,值班员很好，帮忙出主意
4. 到海关办公室问，态度很差
5. 很多在terminal E丢的东西会被送到美联航，到terminal C 美联航行李办公室找
6. 如果terminal D国航柜台有人可以去问问
7. 以上几处我都没找到，又回terminal E information desk问，另一个值班员说
terminal E还有一个美联航行李办公室，敲门后出来一位大姐，说她那没有，但大姐人
真好，涮卡带我进入机场里，那里有一个小小的美联航办公室，国际旅客入关时丢的行

Marriott这种都要收$32的parking fee。两家sheraton,其中好一点的是Sheraton

是做quant的，front office, supporting trading desk.小组manager(欧洲人，在美
十几年了)讲话比较dirty和让人不舒服。比如说，他会说，某某男不错，你离婚的话，
可和他结婚。又说刚进来，不要有小孩。甚至 ask once "can you talk dirty?".
他原来是trader，据说那里比较野蛮。我四下问过另一个相似的HR的人（没敢问告的事
），她也觉得不太正常。
我个人觉得他的行为和HR的正常条文相差甚远。不知道是不是我的小组的工作性质？但
其他同事和上司都不是这样。我也没法比较，因为小组没有别的女的。
我也有表示我的不满，但没有直接和他交流过。估计也没有，因为他觉得和trading
desk打交道就引这样。我目前和trading desk的交道不多，感觉他们还好。
我要告他骚扰吗？At least, |

的Risk Management（middle office)第一年的收入是多少？三年后又是多少？

这样不同类型的quant team 之后发展区别大吗?
是不是desk quant做support, trader放个屁就要跑过来解释，还捞不到客户的油水
又不能集中做研发，但是desk quant容易转trading吗
另外，有没有quant 和trader界限不是很分明的职位
却又不是仅限于 algo/high freq/stat
刚刚开始做实习 问题很粗浅 可能不上路

我知道trader一般来的早走的早。Quant来的晚些走的晚些。Risk的人来的不早走的不晚
。
我不知道你的组是不是trading desk。如果是front office我很难想象谁能每天集中注
意力10个小时以上。Trading desk粗心大意都是要出严重问题的。
若不是trading desk还这样也太没必要了。做research和trading strategy都是需要想
法的。不是拼时间。每天10个小时完全可以了。
我想，既然你们要写code不是做IBD的。唯一解释就是大家裁员被裁怕了。不过一个组弄
成这个样子，绝对是组长无能导致的。
别告诉我你们组是做HFT, 美国市场亚洲市场都做。你们太牛谁都没办法。 |

average at least.
The two upsides of core starts as compared to desk strats is that first you
are shielded from the high risks inherent to desks, and second it is much
less stressful, and the hours are considerably shorter. It's not uncommon to
work 9-7 in core.

发帖数: 64 | 47 据我了解，Core Strategy工作的很大一部分是开发和维护slang/secdb，GS的专有
database and pricing system。LZ在面试过程中应该会有人跟你提起过。
Slang/secdb是很大的系统，所以有的人解PDE，有的人做GUI。看各人。
GS的大多数sales and trading的定价都在slang/secdb这个统一的平台上完成，
这是很难得的。相比之下，很多其他IB每个desk都有自己的一套quant model，核心
代码对外要么秘而不宣，要么故意搞的晦涩难懂，desk之间互相掐架拼model，很
多情况下是恶性竞争。这也是为什么很多其他公司追求写程序速度的原因。
GS的sales and trading内部运作比较高效，和slang/secdb有非常重要的关系。
至于这工作是否被归类为是IT工作，其实并不重要。个人认为今后几年各大IB会开
始效仿GS Slang/SecDB的做法，有的已经开始做了。只是不见得能够成功：要想说
服各个desk头头放弃自己的独门神器可不容易。

傻时候装傻, 要让人觉得你能挨骂, 能suck up traders' shit, 是个很好的
communicator, 得罪trader没人愿意做的垃圾事你愿意做, trader甩你俩大耳光子你还
能叫爽的那种. 千万别让人家看出来你有去desk的野心.
能这样就差不多了, 你要真是问啥会啥, 谁敢要你啊, 谁知道你是不是两天就跑desk上

quant的工作就是设计并实现金融的数学模型（主要采用计算机编程），包括衍生物定
价，风险估价或预测市场行为等。所以quant更多可看为工程师，按中国的习惯性分类
方法就是理工类人才，而不是文科人才，这个和金融有一定的区别(当然金融也有很多
理工的内容)。
2.有哪几种quant？
a. desk quant
desk quant 开发直接被交易员使用的价格模型. 优势是接近交易中所遇到的money和机
会. 劣势是压力很大.
b. Model validating quant
model validating quant 独立开发价格模型,不过是为了确定desk quant开发的模型的
正确性. 优势是更轻松,压力比较小. 劣势是这种小组会比较没有作为而且远离money.
c. Research quant
Research quant 尝试发明新的价格公式和模型,有时还会执行blue-sky research(不太
清楚是什么). 优势是比较有趣(对喜欢这些人来说),而且你学到很多东西. 劣势是有时
