这些年在北美，欧洲开车都因为超速拿过n多张ticket, 这里写写我对在美国高速开车
超速的感受.
1. 什么时候可以超速
你对你走的路非常的熟悉，知道这条路上确实没有警察，或者你对你开的路上的警察的
limit非常的清楚. 高速限速70的话，你开71，甚至75， 警察通常不会因此给你开
ticket，虽然严格意义上说开71也确实超速了.
我以前住的地方，限速70，最左边的lane，大家都在80-85之间开，警察根本不care.
这样的结果就是到了冬天，路上一下雪，经常发生死好几个人的车祸.
现在住的地方，限速65，最左边的lane大家也是跟疯了一样，除非发生了交通事故，不
然警察连个影儿都看不到.
2. 什么时候不可以超速
你对你走的路不是特别熟悉，不知道这条路上是否有警察. 这样的话为了避免拿到
speeding ticket, 最好开的不要特别放肆. 根据我这么多年总结出来的经验, 除非警
察穷疯了或者月底要meet quota, 一般情况下，保守一点的话，高速上限速65, 在75以

webpage spam detector其实也都是瞎折腾。没见过什么很特殊神奇的办法。
一个startup，做Q&A spam detector，估计也就是随便做做。
估计数据量也不大，找个现成的package，随便一run就行。
只要面试者基本概念清楚，常用算法熟悉也就够了。人家说不定好久没面试过，不排除
紧张的可能。
面试者有面试经验不足的问题。自己主动说的项目，就要做到能20秒内，或者1分钟内
，10分钟内都能说出个子丑寅卯来。
面试官有点过于刁难的感觉。
既然在原文里表现得对text mining很熟悉，那真是奇怪地要问一声：一个人做的spam
detection的明显不是主业务的小项目，你指望能问出个什么花来呢？ |

发帖数: 142 | 19 昨晚两点，睡梦中，一阵Alarm传来，以为是闹钟，伸手关闹钟，ld说不是是房子里的
Alarm.原来是smoke detector的，每个房间的都在响，包括走廊的，五六个一起声音像
要冲破耳鼓。
浑身打个激灵，ld察看了里里外外连loft也看了，没火没烟。心里很不踏实，打了911
。很快救火车来了。察看了一番，没发现问题。换了smoke detector的电池，好了。可
是那些Alarm响的时候家里原屋主安装的Alarm System也开始报警了。那个door chime
on/off怎么也转换不了，试着拔电源去电池也不见效。现在每次出入开门关门，警报都
要响5分钟。
版上达人能否指点如何消除警报，今天要是搞不定，那个声音真是搞得人的神经也快崩
溃了。

上的插座上，2，3个月就要换一次电池，每次都是很刺耳的滴滴地的叫。这次夜里叫，
我就拿下来，取出电池，拔下插座了。第二天早晨就让他们来换电池，结果他们说我不
能拔下来。可是不拔下来怎么睡觉啊，家里还有小孩。他们就是说不行，要我去跟他们

每天firetrucks都要来关警报。高级系统，跟fire dept直接连
着的，每次巨响无比，一个building八家一起响，每个人都得出来，
等firefighter关掉才行。
后来把厨房的smoke detector改成了heat detector，别的灵敏
度给改成低的了，不知道又花多少钱。 |

前47.99. 3年合同。
安装系统的时候跟csr谈deal，在标准配置的基础上(3个door contacts，1个motion
detector），加上3个door contacts，和一个glass breaker,一个motion detector，
一个花了100+160，最后还有100的rebate。算是可以接受的了。
BTW，我用的是那个security choice， 应该是ADT的一个dealer。
washer 和 dryer 也刚买，LG 2450 那套steamwasher，加上税1700多点，反正用了几
次感觉挺爽的，耐不耐用就待考验了。 |

natural gas的字样了，所以搞不清楚做饭是不是烧的天然气。。汗
问这个问题的起因是因为家里老人才来了两个月，就发生了两起没点着火，炉子光在那
呼呼放气的事。而且，他们鼻子还不好使，闻不到！！等我大老远闻到赶过去的时候，
家里已经全是那味道了。今天又发生一起，实在是很崩溃。。。所以我想出门去买gas
detector。这个和州法律要求装的一氧化碳detector是两回事，对么？
另外，有什么炉子有自动保护装置能防止以上情况的么？

现在知道了，需要220v的电，要从电箱连过来。
烘干机在地下室还简单一点。厨房在楼上，真的要拆天花板。
我也是觉得gas没有电的安全。有一次锅里的水扑出来把火弄灭了，满屋子gas味。gas
detector也没有响。 据说可以在stove旁边加一个比较敏感的gas detector. 你也可以
在gas dryer旁边加一个。 |
